By the way, if you access this switch from front passenger side tire, it is much more easier than accessing from the top (hood side). You don't even have to take off the tire or anything else, it's right there.

@lahoriakhan87883 жыл бұрын
I am not sure but I think you should call Autozone or Advance auto with your year and model, they should be able to tell you.. these kind of switches or electrical parts are non returnable able once you open them. Good luck.

How do i know if mine is bad ? Just change it and see ?
@lahoriakhan87884 жыл бұрын
If you have symptoms like I had it in my suburban then most probably it's switch. But keep in mind these kind of parts are non-returnable, so you better do your homework before you open the package.
@tomsavell714 жыл бұрын
Did you lose any Freon or is this just an instrument connection? Surely not if electrical connections on both sides?
@lahoriakhan87884 жыл бұрын
No i did not lose any freon, when I took off switch, It has a pin, it did make a sound of gas coming out only at the last thread of switch, once you take out the switch completely, it stops. Just like when you push the Tire air pressure pin in and air comes out, when you let it go, it stops. Make sure you check your new switch if it comes with O-ring, it it doesn't then you don't want to damage the old O-ring. Also check my PINNED (updated) comments l. 1st comment, it's much easier to access switch from front passenger tire. Read it, you'll understand.

I have a 2007 gmc acadia and mine is just blinking could u tell me what I would need
@lahoriakhan87882 жыл бұрын
If your freon gas is full (check with guage) then it might be your pressure switch. But i am warning you and everyone here...these kind of switches are non-refundable. So please do your homework before installing the switch.

@@juanl.carrizales5313 seems like a leak somewhere, also if you replace the compressor then you need to add oil in compressor.

@@juanl.carrizales5313 did u get it fixed? So many people are having this problem on GMC acadia's but I haven't found a solution yet
@hansmyers74953 жыл бұрын
Well, I hope it's the switch that went bad on my truck. Sure hope there isn't a leak, that would seriously suck. At least I'm in MN so I don't *need* it, but would be nice to have it. It's January. And it's 10 degrees outside. No clue why I am watching videos about this lol. I don't need it for at least another few months lol
@lahoriakhan87883 жыл бұрын
Haha, right. Just to let you know that when I changed the switch, I didn't loose gas, it might leak only for a second when you are pulling out or putting back in. Otherwise it should be okay.

If you have to keep filling up freon, this means you got a leak.
@NoTill18253 жыл бұрын
our 2010 Tahoe had rear AC and the metal lines wore a hole in them under the back passenger door. Seems to be a common problem with that set up. Dealer wanted $1200 to replace, evacuate air, and recharge system or $600 to cap, evacuate air, and recharge system so it had only front AC. There's a store out of Niles, MI that sells rubber HVAC lines to replace the metal rear line for $3-400 or cap kits for $75.

Just follow the safety guidelines and you can do it on your own .
