Thank you so much, my switch stopped working and I was gonna take it too the shop. Plugging the charger in and holding the on button for 30 seconds fixed it!!!!! Can't believe it worked, thanks dude!

thanks so much bro. i was just playing survival on mineplex in minecraft on switch and all of a sudden it just turned off and i did the second way and my switch was pluged in and as soon as i removed the sd card it just sprang in to life and i was paniking when it just shut off because we already used the warranty. so thanks alot man apreciate it. by the way it i a very well put together video. and awesome video overall.

Thank you so much ! Worked on my first gen switch , disconnected the battery overnight and in the morning it worked by putting it in maintenance mode ! Only costed me about 8 dollars for the mini tool kit ! Thanks again !!

Today I disconnected the battery on my Switch but it didn't immediately fix my not-charging-problem. Now I'm going to wait overnight and check again tomorrow. Thank you a lot for your helpful comment!

@@iamkevinn unfortunately it didn't. I also replaced the battery but that didn't help either. I ended up selling the console and getting another which also needed fixing and the new one has been really good. So that's the way I 'fixed' this problem 🙂

Detach the battery made the fix, switch display me full battery and after 1 second of NINTENDO logo it switch off in loop. The battery was totally discharged. THANKS

Mine is weird I have to pull the battery for 30 seconds everytime I power it off completely it goes dead even when it had 50% or more it just won't turn back on or charge without pulling the battery started after update

it worked. .🎉🎉🎉i took off joycons and pluged in power receptical and home screen came on. .. thanks. this was a birthday gift for my 6 year old son after playing for a week this problem happened. I though i got ripped off buying it off the internet for $400.00 ... switch is very hard to find anywhere now... but thanks man hats off 🙏

in the third method, how many times must the button be pressed before it starts up? Could I have to wait more than an hour?

Just the video I was looking for! Thank you a lot for this unusually reliable information :) Currently I can only charge my Switch with OnePlus red cable and generic power bank. Nothing else works and I only can play off tv, but it's better than nothing. I disconnected the battery and tomorrow will tell if I can get my Switch back to normal.

Update: It didn't work, unfortunately. Next I replaced a new battery but this didn't fix it either. The problem was probably with chip that regulates the charging process. It's quite difficult to change and I ended up selling my Switch. Happily I found another Switch with broken joystick cheap and it is in great condition after I replaced the broken joystick. I also got Pokemon Shield with to console and eneded up paying €5 it all (after selling the broken one) 😀

Hello good look I have a problem with a lite and I have tried everything with it and nothing But it surprises me that when I remove the charging cable, the home button turns on and off suddenly, I think it is the battery that does not receive a charge, any suggestions, thanks

This might be a dumb question... would the battery thing work if I has a blue screen issue? Like 95% of the time it won’t turn on and stays black but 5% if not less of the time it turns blue when I plug it in only. Please someone help I use my switch as a therapy to calm me down due to my really bad anxiety. (Ik that’s weird)

I just updated my switch and it reset after downloading the new update. Only problem is it never turned back on. I've tried to hard reset it, but it's not working. I plugged it in and left it to charge just in case the battery had died, but still nothing. I tried to hard reset it multiple times again. Nothing. What am I supposed to do? My switch isn't that old.

@@angelinaayala2440 same, I have literally tried every tutorial on KZfaq but nothing is working and I recently bought a new game yesterday and that's when my switch stopped working so I didn't even get a chance to play the game. It was downloading and I put the switch into sleep mode and now it just won't turn on but I really don't want to buy a new one. 😞

@@stabrun230 I actually sent it for repair since it was under warranty and UK Nintendo replied that my USB was broken and they fixed it and I got it back on christmas! So I didn't manage to fix it lol
