Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Screen Repair, Teardown and Reassemble Guide Video Steps:
Warning:

We claim no responsibility for any damages that might occur
The DIY Galaxy J3 repair tools used in this video can be found here: www.fixez.com/categories/repa...
Step 1 - Power down your 2016 Samsung Galaxy J3 smartphone.
Step 2 (Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Rear Battery Cover) - Easily remove the Galaxy J3 rear cover.
Step 3 (Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Battery) - Take out the 2600 milliampere-hour (mAh) Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) battery.
Step 4 (Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Exterior Midframe) - Remove the following 10 Phillips screws. Apply a little heat, and then use the triangle opening tool to work around the Samsung phone and free the exterior midframe.
Step 5 (Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Loudspeaker) - Eradicate the Galaxy J3 loudspeaker box from the midframe.
Step 6 (Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Motherboard) - Detach the cable for the bottom LED buttons and then the display cable. With the cables out of the way, lift out the Galaxy J7 motherboard.
Step 7 (Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Headphone Jack, Front-Facing Camera and Rear-Facing Camera) - Detach and remove the Galaxy J3 headphone jack. Spudge up the 5-megapixel Samsung Galaxy J3 front-facing camera. Release the ZIF connector and free the 8-megapixel Galaxy J3 (2016) rear-facing camera from the motherboard.
Step 8 (Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Earpiece Speaker and Vibrator) - With the tweezers in hand, remove the earpiece speaker. Pluck out the spring-contact-connected Galaxy J3 vibrator.
Step 9 (Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Display Assembly) - Begin too free the Galaxy J3 Super AMOLED display assembly by using the heat gun to warm up the adhesive. Insert a playing card to start slicing through the adhesive. Use playing cards to attack the adhesive securing the display assembly to the interior midframe. Take your time and apply additional heat as needed. Once you have sliced through the adhesive, be mindful of the display cable and the cables for the bottom buttons when decoupling the 2016 Galaxy J3 screen from the midframe.
Step 10 (Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Cables for the Bottom Buttons and Home Button Switch) - Extract the cables for the bottom buttons and Galaxy J3 home button switch.
* To reassemble your device, follow the steps in reverse order.

Couple wks old ph. Broke LCD. Can I buy a used ph for parts? Looks like it'd be impossible to reuse a 2nd hand LCD which I had planned. Can I simply change out the hard drive(?)/ data center? Or must I buy new LCD screen for original ph to save data? Any help appreciated. Thx.

Not sure how old the J7 is compared to the J6, but you can be sure lot's of parts (especially the memory chips) might be identical physically, but be bordered off in firmware. It is much cheaper to be able to make 10 million of the same motherboards instead of 2 million for the J6, 2 million for the J7 and so on. Buying memory chips comes with incredible big discounts when you buy a big multitude of the same ones (and some orders at the parts warehouses start at a minimum of 100.000 chips as 1 unit, so if you buy 10 units, you have a million, just to give you an idea of just how little memory costs). Models might be equipped with a chip with a lot more internal memory than you can see, by having it partitioned in firmware to not show the real size of the chip.

Hope you can answer a question for me. I took my j3 apart to replace the screen assembly and broke the headset connector from the motherboard. Will the motherboard and phone still work if I assemble it without a working headphone jack.

Maybe your cable got disconnected. Open the back cap, lift up a small black box on the top left and take out that wire and put it back in. If that wont help, open up the phone and reconnect the outer screen with the lcd again

I'm kind of lost... If I'm just replacing the screen, do I have to take off the motherboard too? Or can I just disconnect the screen cable in the back, heat the screen and remove it with a playing card?

No, no, no! No background music! Where did you hear that background music is desirable in diy videos? It isn't. The instructions are good, but I want to mute the sound because of the background noise; causes me to miss the instructions.

I really really wish he had done the exact same thing in my old Samsung galaxy phone he couldn't just took of the screen shot and add of invoirnent into it and give it check up and boom all fixed up why didn't my dad thought of that I might want it tell him I don't if he wants to because he already just got me a brand new phone but still id really loved that phone but it accidentally just felt on the ground in the middle of pe time during school I really thought my friend just broke it but I don't think so I thought t9 blame but she didn't really to say I broke it because she didn't really ment (breathing) (whispering) the son of a *** so yeah pretty great times with this old phone I really had it like pretty long I still have it though but there was something weird going on with it like the screen is going turn of for ever when I to hold the button but it didn't turned on because of accidents uhh when going to stop sharing when going to stop sharing uhh I really got doing that my friend is really forcing me to do it because she want it to use so badly better then I do but still though am not going to do it because she sometimes is a really great so don't blame on her blame I caused for this breaking problem because of me why did I took of the case why is it because to old to choose or something oh he'll no it doesn't matter what didn't I'd done same thing I couldn't not care I coundnt just kept it for ever but no it didn't really want me so let's forget 9f what did I just said but at least I still have it it didn't lose it brake for real it didn't had a cause for a damage because I always protected that's why so yeah is just a little miss understood with the screen problem and that's but unleash if the sound works and the tapping apps that's the great so yeah my dad will it fix when I have the feelings to him about if I can use the other one so yeah what a genius.
