Also, the tennis ball thing started with BMX riders who would keep it in their front spokes to use for tensioning their chain if they had to take their rear wheel off. It caught on as a trend though a lot of people who do it don’t know why, I have chain tensioners so mine is just for looks. Also played fetch with someone’s dog at the park once.

But I won't, suffice to say that I'm more that confident in the structural integrity of the frame, and the China rims... Thanks again Yours truly... 😃

I'd like advice on a track frame: 300-500 is the perfect price range It has to be italian and steel It's going to be paired with miche pistard wheels, deda stem handlebar and seatpost, san marco saddle and miche primato crankset/cog/chain/lockring The total price is going to be around 1000€ and, as you already got, I'm italian so italian components cost litterally half the price (miche pistard is at 130€ for the pair)

I rode my bike today through the snow, slush, and icy road surface to the swimming pool, then to the local brew pub here in Warroad, MN, literally feet from the 49th parallel. It's a Kent fixie I bought b/c Amazon didn't have one that will fit the metal-studded winter tires I want for riding on Lake of the Woods. New project for me. World-class freshwater fishery here. Year-round. Love fish! Question for your viewers: how to jump-start dimensions for quality components replacing those on down-market frames? Like the main ones, BB, seat tube, head tube, rear hub? (Recall I ride fixed gear.)

What's the point of lo pro frames? Just make a straight top tube bike with a short headtube, it would lower the standover, be lighter, more aero, maybe stiffer, and wouldn't look like shit.

I think you are way to critical on the wooden bike and for a guy who has only ridden a few bikes and thinks he know it all . bike were made of wood long before steel. So were wheels they were made out of bamboo and they were so litre some companies still make them. In the 70 all we had were some of the parts that you are criticising and before sti and ergo lever and sram .we used 7 speed not 8/9/10 speed. I thought this was going to be an interesting post but its just you dribbling about what you like and don't like what a waste of time. Do you have over 40 years in bikes sales and making bikes. Who cares what you think.
