So you hit something in your lawn and your mower does not mow properly now. You notice a blade is bent so you replace the blade. Still not right. So you end up replacing the spindle shafts thinking one of them are bent. Still doesn't mow right. This is a good indication that the actual deck shell is bent. This is a very common thing with the lighter weight stamped decks on newer lawn tractors. Most people and dealers will try to fix a problem like this by grabbing the biggest hammer they can find and pounding away on the deck. sometimes this works and gets the blade tips CLOSE to lining up. But this is usually very time consuming and can require unbolting the spindle housing and reinstalling it over and over to keep checking for progress. A few years ago after dealing with this problem almost weekly on the John Deere convertible decks, we decided to come up with an easier and quicker way to fix bent decks and to get the blade tips lined like they were when the deck was new.
