I have the 06 300c srt8. I've had since bought with 64,000 miles on it . She's babied. I've had no real issues. Other than the dreaded "clunk" noise in the front. Turned out to be the sway bar bushings and would only do it on roads with little bumps and divots. That was 10 yrs ago . Now with 90,000 miles she's still going strong and still looking beautiful. It kills me that the younger guys get them and beat on them continuously and wonder why things break. I do womp on mine sometimes though I just don't beat the shit out of it. Happy motoring everyone. 👍

Glad to see you got this overheating issue tackled. This is one I would not mind owning - love the sound of that hemi! BTW, I had a 1993 Ford Taurus that overheated. Never could figure that one out, even after checking the fan, fan controller, temp sensor and all.

You probably had a leaky water pump. I saw a repair video on that problem right here on youtube. The leak, they said, is very difficult to see due to a very small weep hole on the pump. Even if you know the pump is bad, it's not a job for the faint of heart. You need to remove the timing chain cause it drives the pump. This means installing special clips to hold each of the 4 camshafts in place. Lots of labor! Expensive!...Jay, how would you like to change the pump on a Taurus??

We had a 300M that was just bad ass! I mean when you're talking about a sports sedan Chrysler really made exactly that. It was fast, responsive and comfortable at the same time. We got it used and that's the way I felt about it, and when it did have an issue I looked it up and saw videos that came with the car when it was new on KZfaq that showed all the cool ass features it had that we didn't even know it did 😳 it finally blew a head gasket and it's sitting on her daughter's property collecting dust but that car was really something wish we'd had it from the time it was brand new!
@danielhartin7680

The 300M's styling was outstanding. I loved the rakish sporty look to it, and to be honest I was very disappointed in the look of the replacement 300C. Never took to it, although the later versions did manage to get away from that boxy, gangster look somewhat.

Went on a 500+mile trip with them and we were in the back. So comfy I almost couldn't say awake. LOL. Might be an option. And since your have the experience you can probably keep that air ride suspension going. He cussed it out for a while but got it right.

Ive noticed the heat is absolutely pouring out under where the drivers door starts and the windshield side of hood. Already had rad and engine temp sensors done last year.

Between the slim shady song and the BMW comment got you a new sub! 😆 Just replaced my thermo and water pump to fix overheating issues. (Had multiple issues) Og thermo wasn't opening all the way New one tested - good Installed and still had an issue Replaced water pump today and still having issues. But I didn't bleed or 'burp" the system. Could that be why I'm still overheating? My fans are running so don't think that's the issue. And my oil is normal no signs of water mixed in. Kinda lost here but your "burping the system" comment made me think.

My son has a 07 Chrysler 300c he had a Overheating issue. Took it to a shop they flushed it like 4-5 times cuz it had alot of Rust and Mechanic put a new overflow tank and it seem to run fun for a couple of weeks and it wasn’t overheating and running at160-180degrees. He was Driving today and it blew the top Radiator hose and shot Clay color fluid everywhere so tomorrow I’ll replace top hose. Is there anything else that causing it to Overheat? Please anyone that has had experience with these cars any suggestions? Thank you.

Not SRT wheels: "SRT Design" package on this one. This is standard 300c, but with Powertrain calibration, brakes and suspension from the Dodge Charger Daytona of the same year. Has SRT interior and unique (non-SRT) 20" wheels. The mirrors and door handles were body-color, though on this one, someone needed more bling. Chrome trim on front and rear bumpers is factory as this package did not get the SRT bumper covers. This SRT-design package was only available in 2007 and 2008, where "300s" replaced it for the last two years of this body style.

I looked up that labor rate on replacing that thermostat it was over a hundred with Chryslers part aroud 385 to 465. And you know that exstra 30 bucks for shop supplies witch witch I aways hid it on all good people but if you came in with that attitude no and the survey would always find its way in cyberspace but for the most part you treat them with repect you got it back but it doesn't matter sometimes there are some you do everything for and they would still be mad at the wrong person because they ever did maintenance at Toyota in Pensacola they purchased a Camry and brought it in at almost 70k and never change the oil just added oil I was totally blown away when he replied well when I bought it the said you don't need too do anything but drive and as far as a salesman yes it could have been possible. I wasn't there for the purchase but I felt like he was being honest I did a complete 60k and flushed that block the best I could. He definitely was a great customer afterward.

Those cars were built for suckers. Big promise, low quality. I like you better in a shirt. Need some kind of protection working on stuff, Jay! You can easily make a pair of pliers like those. Just buy a pair you like and drill out the recesses you need. My pair has served me well since before you were born.

Unfortunately it's a Chrysler and it's a piece of shit. all the Chrysler engines that end in .7 are junk. The 2.7, 3.7, 4.7, 5.7 and 6.7 were horrible engines. I've worked on tons and tons of them over the years. Chrysler went to shit when they discontinued the 4.0 and both the 318/360 engines. And then just destroyed themselves when they became FCA. I've owned plenty of Chryslers as flip vehicles...hardest cars to sell...even harder than a damn Audi/VW and those are just as shitty.

I installed a thermostat in a 200 3013 6v that vehicle probably has a water bump our a head gasket but I'm like you, we go by the steps I'm 61 you can't find techs too fix vehicles especially Mercedes and Volkswagens it's sad. And while running the shop at Mercedes, they would send the techs to school for a whole year when I pulled wrenches. I may have gone to school at the most 3 times a year. The longest school was 3 days for electrical 1 n up to three with two more times going that's it Mercedes and Volkswagen was the biggest non technicians ever.and I traveled fixing stores from Florida to Colorado. Made dam good money money but the stress doesn't purchase a new heart or prevent a stroke.

I purchased my 90-degree pliers at Harbor Freight with others 45 degrees, the best dam tools I ever purchased from there.
