When we discovered a large water spot on our ceiling located directly below a bathtub, Joe was forced to research and fix the situation after consulting with a plumber and given a $1,500 job estimate. Thankfully, Joe was successful in fixing the issue and walks you through the steps he took (as well as the steps he wished he did not) in order to fix a leaky bathtub drain, install an access door to access plumbing behind the bathtub and repair our ceiling.

Excellent video!!! We’re having leaks in our son’s bathroom that are going to the right, which is the washroom and to the left which is his bedroom. We are hoping that it is the bathtub drain like yours BEFORE we start tearing down walls, also…crossing our fingers that the problem is only the worn out putty.

@@SproutingPathsHomestead Nope, our leak was a little bit more serious than yours! We ended up having to hire a plumber. We had to replace quite a few of our pipes, BUT your video was still very informative!👍🏼 Thanks!

This project did get the better of us. At least now we have an access door to the back of the bathtub for potential future problems.
