Fixing an Electric Pressure Washer

Күн бұрынThis Snap-on 2000 PSI pressure washer was saved from the trash and given to me. The previous owner said it was leaking so they bought a new one. It seems like water was left in the gun which froze over the winter and cracked the trigger valve. Winterizing is easy to forget which is why so many pressure washers end up in the trash. Thanks for a great video! I just had exactly the same problem. The new wand fixed it perfectly. The Amazon link has slightly changed to a new product - very robust and only $27 at the moment. Thanks again for a great video 👍

I know this is a longshot, but do you know what kind of connector the OTHER end of that hose has? The one that connects to the wheel? I can't find it anywhere! Thanks!

It looks to be the same type and size as the end that connects to the gun, it even has an O-ring. The only differences are that it's a 90-degree fitting and has a nut instead of being tightened by hand. Any standard hose should fit but, if it doesn't have that 90-degree end, you probably wouldn't be able to wind it up. I'm sure you could just buy a 90-degree fitting to attach to a standard pressure washer hose. Here's a link to the original replacement hose: www.ppe-pressure-washer-parts.com/product/1001.8246

I'm experiencing the same issue. I need to connect to the reel fitting. It's different than the gun end.

When you tried soldering wouldn't the heat have distorted any seals within? Good vid👍👍

Yes, you are absolutely correct. I removed 2 seals, a spring, and a ball bearing prior to attempting to solder the crack. I had video of disassembling the valve but, since the solder didn't work, I chose to cut out the extra footage to keep the video shorter.

Can you Please show how you disconnected the metal tube that is part of the trigger from the hose? I can't get them apart to attach a new trigger

The hose has internal threads while the metal tube has external threads. If you're unable to unscrew them by hand, put a wrench on the end of the metal tube and then use pliers to twist the end of the hose.

So that silver tube that suppose to be in gun after I removed mine the hose look different than yours how come ? Like there is a little metal adapter connected to the hose

That silver tube is supposed to be in the gun, not come out with the hose. :)

You can try looking online at places like mmtoolparts.com but I didn't have any luck finding parts for this specific pressure washer. It was just easier to replace the whole gun.

I have that washer. And when it's running water seems to run out back at the same time and it's not coming from the hose. I'm stuck. Yours is dry. Any ideas?

I'm no pro but, best case: The seal, where the garden hose connects, could be bad. Worst case: Water was left in the pressure washer and froze, causing the pump to crack.
