Thank you! And yeah the lack of an island editor is what made me give up on the game for months on end. Making this video got me to get back into the game a little bit but the enthusiasm for playing it is really gone. I doubt Nintendo is gonna implement any of my ideas. They have my money. They have the money of 38 million copies. They're not like an indie game where responding to fan feedback is necessary for keeping up a good image. I think of stuff like ConcernedApe implementing sea urchins wearing hats within hours of someone tweeting that suggestion, or indie devs making a lot of quality of life changes to improve the game and going "Yeah we're listening to fan feedback to make the game better." That's what make me respect game devs and their craft. The only thing I think Nintendo did in response to fan feedback to update New Horizons was to click the right trigger to hide the camera UI when using the camera, and that was originally a glitch that people exploited. Having something like Minecraft's suggestion feature and voting on changes that would then be suggested to the ACNH team would do wonders for the game. They don't have to take all suggestions, but it'd be nice if there was the option to suggest little improvements. I want to make a game eventually, and I'll be sure to listen to fan feedback when making it. I want the game to be accessible and easy to use for people so that everyone can enjoy it in their own ways. Adding these suggestions to ACNH wouldn't restrict the players who adapted to the original game systems. Simply add a new way for players to play the game. There's options.

Hey. Guess what. New amiibo cards and new villagers are gonna be released, according to today’s Direct, along with a crapton of changes. Seems like my wishes are gonna be partially fulfilled.

@@darkvioletcloud Forgot about the direct. I'd been trying to get back into the game. I hope we get the welcome amiibo villagers from New Leaf. I really really want Inkwell and W. Link on my island. All I know is that Brewster is confirmed for November updates. I know nothing else, but I'm hoping some of your wishes are included!

Even after the 2.0 update, New Horizons really does feel shallow. I went back to it to get a bit of footage for my most recent video (I wanted to pose two characters under a wedding arch and have the heart polish on some stuff) and it just made me so sad about how empty the game felt. New Leaf really was special. I prefer the decorating in New Horizons, but that’s the only thing that NH has over NL.
