Fixing BMW side mirror actuator 2007-2013

Please be careful with each clip as everything is plastic. I fixed the gear system which was broken, by gluing the broken parts with Superglue and sand as superglue alone won't stick the plastic parts together and keep in mind STICK only the metal stopper with the axle part only, don't glue whole unit together. Mine is BMW X5 2009. When you put back the motors the green one must be on the left and blue on the right else it will work in the reverse order.

Your video was a great help to me. I needed to swap the motors on a later year model, but it was very similar. This is a great instructional video.

even tho its 5 years later, it still counts if you have trouble putting it back (mostly the ring), use a hair dryer (or if you got a big heatgun, even better) to heat up the plastic housing, dont overdo it and melt it. just so its hot to the touch, till you can hold it but you can feel its quite hot. then it goes a bit easier

How to assemble it back ? Finding it difficult to put back especially the ring and the titling plastic part. I glued the wheel with Gorilla two part glue which is better than super glue

Keep the motor removed until you assemble the gear wheels to tilting part

Thanks , The trouble is assembling the outer ring and the inner assembly, may be I did not describe it properly in the previous message

@@gkmenon43 put back the outer ring from below before inserting the swing axle in the middle. The ring must go to the two arms slot and you have to apply a little bit of pressure to rotate to make it fall into the grove. Finally install the centre part swing arm

It's very simple and many people has done that video. Just put a plastic tool and lever out the mirror from bottom right/left corner. The mirror is holding by plastic push clips and also note that there is a electrical connector for heating mirror so take the mirror out patiently as you need to remove the connector once the mirror is out from the plastic clips.

LLH car the passenger mirror doesn't tilt GLASS inside like supposed to after replacement!!!! ANY IDEA? THANKS 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈 motors are good also tried another one!!!

what is LLH ? if the gears are broken from inside the mirror won't turn as I have mentioned in the video.

Isn't there anywere to buy the housing with motors and gears? It should't be expensive..

I did not find any. Used one is available but most of those are broken and the gear system is patent registered with a special mechanism that I was unable to understand as it was already broken, auto adjustment is defined by this mechanism

No... Just 2-3 clips... Still packed well without any glue with the same cover
