"If it doesn't work for you, shut up and go do something else" is actually really good advice. You should try all different ways of drawing because everybody's brain works a little differently and you might be able to use something else to better effect. That's one of the things I like about your videos, you're putting a lot of techniques out there without declaring one as the best and only way to draw

He gives us lots of different tools and techniques because people learn differently. Something like this will be super helpful for a lot of artists, and won't work for a lot of others. As a fellow artist, I had to rethink my approach to simplify years of academic techniques. Some of those traditional techniques just don’t work when I have to do storyboards and need to draw with speed but maintain accuracy. Great video!

Hardcore Waffles fan who loved this video! You showed how she has learned and put effort into understanding the underlying shapes and structures, and then learned to simplify those into her own interpretation. But the structure is still there! This method is so helpful, thank you for sharing ☺ It's close to something I already do for the eyes and brow bone, but I love they circle to the bottom of the nose. That ends up helping me later when placing the details. Waffles has made me like studies, which has made me draw more! Both of you make such inspiring content, I wonder how other artists can put so much out there and still make art. And I loved your makeup tutorial! I want to do that now 😅😄

@@rylanscott410 I feel sorry for people who cant understand the humor of irony. In all of these "dissing" videos, he's actually agreeing with those artists and praising their techniques, just express it in the most tsundere way possible. The way he dresses and speaks is an obvious hint that these he is not serious when he's acting all aggressive, unfortunately it's never obvious enough for all to comprehend. You don't have to like it, just know that he isn't dissing anyone, but doing the exact opposite.

ETHAN! You are the BEST art tutorial channel I've found yet! (I'm sure you know this already tho lol). Like I was literally just thinking the other day, "My faces look really flat, how do I make them have more volume?" Then you answer it in the first flippin' 10 seconds of your video. Ethan, I want to thank you! I just started out drawing like a few weeks ago. I learned pretty much every one of your tricks from your videos, while I'm still far from mastering any of them, it has made my progress immensly easier. And this video just blew me away. I got right to trying it for myself and I'm just mesmerized by how well it works. Thank you a thousand times Ethan! Keep making videos like this! I really need them, like reeeeally!!
