it was elsa's enemy, for about 5 minutes, which was executed horribly, i expected her struggle with the nokk to be much longer, where elsa keeps getting washed up ashore, learning new ways to tame and befriend the spirit as her way of developing as a strong character, like hiccup and toothless. but noo, the screenwriters made everything so rushed just like the ending.

That's what bugs me the most. Because in the first film Anna couldn't do anything right except save her sister from Hans sword attack. Here she says she overcame the challenges of getting her sister back and bringing back summer even though it was Olaf, Hans, Kristoff, Sven, and even Elsa that helped with most of those.

There's a thing that nobody mentioned in this movie: the retcon of Anna&Elsa parents. Of their personalities, I mean. In the first movie, they looked just the worst. Locking up Elsa, making her scared of her powers, building a wall between the sisters. It's Mother Gothel level of parenting. And in this movie they try to give a romantic past to them, some sort of involvement in the magic birth of Elsa, and a more caring attitude towards their daughters. Making them look even more stupid and crazy

I would have the four season spirits, with Anna awakening herself as the Equinox, giving her the ability to undo what the other spirits create. She is a representation of stability, and Elsa is the Winter Spirit, along with Black Solstice, an ice queen who appears to teach elsa how to use her powers. Black can also create darkness and night, and has a love-hate relationship with white solstice, the exact opposite.

I mean Elsa already seems pretty well off with her mastery of her powers, she can litterally create life and giant ice castle, and that's already overkill. I like the idea but I don't see what the queen could teach her that wouldn't just make her way too powerfull, which she kinda already is? The most I can think of for why Elsa froze in Ahtohallan lies at the end of the first and second verses of her Mother's song: "Dive down deep into her sound, but not too far or you'll be drowned" and "But can you brave what you most fear, can you face what the river knows?" Even though Elsa herself is supposed to be resistant to the cold, Ahtohallan is a bank of memories made of ice, effectively exhibiting the same powers as Elsa, or perhaps being the source of them. If Elsa were to "drown" in the "river" of Ahtohallan, a magical place that brings memories to life through the power of ice, she'd drown in *ice.* I imagine Elsa was effectively drowning in her own and Ahtohallan's shared power. On top of that, the song asks whether a person can face the fear of what the river knows, implying that the inability to survive might lie more in their emotional reaction to the memories they witness. Ice is generally thought to be cold and unfeeling (reminiscent of old fables of "Ice Queens") but I think maybe Elsa had too much of an emotional reaction to the knowledge she was seeking. Maybe an Ice Queen *can* be resistant to Ahtohallan, they just have to face the knowledge with a colder disposition than Elsa could. Aaaaannndd that's my ramble. Good video~ I don't know if Frozen can fix some of the issues with a third movie to expand on things, or if it's just going to continue like this, but *wow* some of that story boarding stuff definitely would have been great to see in the final product.

Well, what they could have done is used that test footage for a magical spirit backstory, where the two could have messed around and even become friends during all that political stuff between Renard and the Northuldra chief, giving an explanation to WHY Iduna saved Agnarr during the conflict. Oh yeah, and scrap the magic memory wipe. personally, I kind of wished that Anna was the fifth spirit, so 1. she would have had some storyline in the movie and 2. instead of there being 2 water spirits, she could be the spirit of love or something else. I often feel like a man without a nation, as I can't in good conscience board the Frozen hate train, yet at the same time I don't feel right praising it. You're absolutely correct in that they have fascinating ideas and concepts, but all of which feels diluted by the time it makes the final product. I have actually put very little thought into Frozen II's convoluted world-building pertaining to magic and the elements (Though big props towards sorting that out). I don't know if anyone else was getting these vibes, but I was reminded a lot of SU The Movie from the first act, about the contentedness of reaching happily ever after, being frustrated and distraught that said contentment has been shattered, and then gaining the resolution that life isn't static and change is necessary. And that's ended up shaping the direction to my own re-write/edits. Anna and Elsa WANT to be happy with the new lives they have together, but Elsa has been feeling restless, and perhaps she doesn't want to confront this feeling because there is still some guilt going on. If we're still going with the anxiety/mental illness metaphor for Elsa's powers, perhaps she feels as though she would burden Anna if she were to bring these feelings up especially after going through the events of the last movie and will try to bottle them up until they burst out of her control and thus ends the first act. And Anna herself could have her own issues with change, namely her codependency and over-protectiveness of her sister. In Kristoff's running gag where he attempts to warm up towards popping the question, Anna "comically" misunderstands Kristoff's wording and it's meant to be taken for laughs, but the snippy way she was going about it made me feel more like the mere idea of change sends her into a fit. Anna's arc would be an organic strengthening of character to where, when she is crowned queen, it actually fits and we as the audience DON'T balk at how out-of-character it is for Anna, as we know her, to take up such an important position. My biggest issue of the movie was Elsa forcibly pushing Anna away right before she headed out towards Ahtohallan. I agree, Anna had no hope in hell to survive that on her own, but the whole "It's too dangerous, I must self-martyr" trope was eye-rolling nonetheless, ESPECIALLY since we already got the "it's too dangerous" scene earlier in the movie AND the story is insisting that the sisters are going about this adventure together. Instead of Elsa forcing her hand or Anna putting her foot down, I would have had the sisters actually talk it out, with Elsa bluntly saying Anna will die if she comes along (And Elsa might die too, but it's a risk she needs to take), and there Anna will have to confront her codependency and accept to let Elsa go. Not only would it be a much better moment for both of their characters, but also it might foreshadow the threat of Elsa's life so that it's not too out of nowhere like it was.
@cyberlexa
@cyberlexa 4 жыл бұрын
Yep, you're not the only one. The first song gave me huge "Happily ever after" vibes and the fact that one of the major themes in this movie is change only added fuel to the SU movie vibes fire Even Anna's overprotectiveness reminded me a bit of Steven's questionable decisions when dealing with Spinel. (mainly, they're so wrapped up wanting everything to go back to the way it was, they don't seem to be in the right state of mind to fully comprehend the situation. Only when they finally accept change do they manage to resolve the problem)

But the way Elsa threw Anna and Olaf away was meant for them to feel angry that Elsa doesn't need them because she promised they'll do it together, yet when Elsa dies and Olaf fades it made Anna realize that Elsa does need her. Anna simply accepting to not go with Elsa to The Dark Sea sounds less climactic and will make the change in feels later less impactful.

The elemental thing made sense if only because the four classic elements can sometimes be extended to six if you include the elements of ice and lava/magma. I could predict the whole “elsa is the bridge between magic and people” as soon as they said there was a ‘mYsTeRiOuS fIfTh eLeMeNt’. It made the whole plot point predictable to me for the rest of the time after that mention. The film was okay but I agree that the whole ‘fifth element’ was a forced plot point to just make an excuse for Elsa to have a new dress and more toys in my opinion. I know her whole plot point is her having found her place but it’s also kind of forced to just push a fifth element in there to give Elsa a place in her life but are we supposed to ignore how Anna was... ignored? I don’t know. Film was okay, not incredible.

curryvid I do agree that Anna did have a big role but I have always just felt that Anna was kind of pushed to the wayside sometimes for Elsa. Elsa is the main character (I think?) so it does make sense but I love Anna because I relate to her. I just felt like in this film she was more like a sidekick and not one of the main protagonist like she was in the first film. I agree she had development along with Elsa which was great but I guess I just wished there was more to the destiny part of it that included Anna in as important of a role as Elsa’s was, I guess is what I mean. Also, it seemed like their parents were focusing a lot on Elsa in the past and it felt like Anna was kind of left out of their views for the children which I personally didn’t enjoy

What if instead everyone thought Elsa was the fifth spirit because she has powers but it turned out it was actually Anna the whole time! Like Elsa is trying to stop the sprites but can’t really do much till Anna charges in or speaks up actually gets them to stop, but everyone assumes because she’s “powerless” and are dazzled by Elsa’s ice, it’s gotta be the magic one right? And because Elsa is still Elsa she keeps trying to keep Anna out of the magic stuff and eventually pushes her away “for her safety”. Later when she goes to the “ice library” she learns the truth about her and her sister! That Elsa was given her powers to protect and provide support to the actual fifth spirit, her sister Anna! The most powerful and yet fragile spirit of all, the feeling she seems to stir up in all that she meets! Hope! And by pushing Anna away all that time she was actually putting her in danger as ironically enough Elsa gives Anna herself hope. That’s pretty cliche but it’s a much cleaner concept then what they went for. As for the horse, it’s basically Elsa’s element’s avatar or her familiar essentially acting for her in the forest and she learns they are in fact connected rather than two different entities.

One big thing I never understood about Frozen, was why they didn't follow the original plot of the Snow Queen, and had the protagonists be Kay and Gerda. It's the one thing that always made me incredibly angry about the first movie. Only positive thing I can say about the second one, is that we didn't get as bombarded by annoying songs, as we did with the first (I can't hear bits of 'do you want to build a snowman' without grinding my teeth). Also, the waterhorse is a bloody Noekke and they treat it like a frikkin' pet. What the frick.

Disney actually tried to do The Snow Queen in the 30s, 40s, and 70s. But they couldn't get away with telling the story while watering it down. To Disney, they wanted the focus to be on the Snow Queen and her magical powers. (Snow Queen is barely in the fairytale) And Elsa was originally the villain of Frozen. During a meeting, for some reason, Anna and Elsa became siblings. The reason they turned Elsa good is because of Let It Go. They were like "Oh this song is more like something a good guy misunderstood guy would sing".

She dont conjure sunflowers onto Annas dress, they were already there, she most likely froze crystals onto the fabric with certain refractions to to make the light hit it and enhance the colors to make them be more colorful. The more light your eye take in, the more bright and colorful it become, I have experienced that sort of difference once when I got a drop in my eye and it dilated the pupil so it took in more colors, with the normal eye I saw everything as normal while with the other eye it got all bright and colorful, the difference was surprising. So yea, not flower power, just manipulation of light. Next off, that part with Olaf being what connected them is kinda true. Yes they were awkward due to not "meeting" eachother in so long but they were communicating through the door, and remember Anna was nagging Elsa about making a snow man through her door, most likely due to that it was the last happy memory they made together...They might not have remembered the name of Olaf or thought of him as a character but that wish to make a snowman was present all through out their lives. It did connect them, and thats why the first thing Elsa do is make Olaf. As for Frozen2. I agree. Its built on plotholes and out of character characters and flat background character. I heard that the VA of Anna came up with the idea that Anna should have codependency issues which doesnt make sense at all! If anybody would have those, its Elsa, she saw Anna die as she was frozen by her magic! It would have made sense that she didnt want to see that happen again and end up trying to guard her, but no Anna should have it cuz reasons? guh. And dont worry, Kristoffs song scene felt off to me too. Would have been cool as an extra trailer or music video on the side of the movie but it threw of the pace of the movie. I do like the song itself but it shouldnt have been in the movie. It would have been better to work in " I seek the truth" or " Gotta get this right". And yea Olaf had some disturbing moments but he was fun too...I do prefere his innocent "oh look I got impaled!" than the brooding. But I did very much enjoy his song this time around. Totally agree that the people in the wood are so wasted potential, they could easily have put in actual relatives to Anna and Elsa, or heck even Kristoff himself to give that boy some character development. Matthias made even less sense to the movie! The Northuldra make some sense since they are based on the Sami people of the nordic countries but Matthias only raise questions... How on earth did a black man get to a scandinavian based country? How the hell did he get into the army? Sorry to say but back then, people were racist for real and wouldnt have let in a black person into the army, much less as a captain.... Sorry disney but scandinavia was not like america. You made Arendelle pretty much Norway with only a fantasy name so it gets very confusing that you put in blacks. And yea the grandfather scheme was weird. Its not like they couldn't have taken down the dam themselves. Bad logic. Wait what? They erased Agnarrs memory of Idunna? I never got that impression that they did... I think they added the spirits to add Scandinavian myth to the story. Bruni and Gale are complete fabrications but Nordic tales are rife with giants. And Nokk is based on the the river horse, a horse said to lure people onto its back and then drowns them in the nearest river. Not necissarily bad additions but not well used...we get no proper explanations why they get so agitated to attack Elsa, and it just gets even odder when it turns out she is supposed to be one of them. I wouldnt have minded if they had been used as challenges for each of the characters to accomplish something. Anna was actually supposed to have Aurora powers in the original concepts but they scrapped it. Which is a shame as that could have been fascinating, but Disney wanted her to be a normal girl so real girls would feel she is relatable. Ugh if Arendelle had been destroyed, the kingdom would have fallen. Its set in the 1800s, they depend on their harvest stocks to survive the winter. If the flood had ruined the city, thousands of people would have starved to death. Just another reason why Anna shouldnt be queen. Also, it would have made more sense to let Anna and Kristoff stay with the Northuldra as Anna and Kristoff are based on Gerda and Kai of the Snow Queen story, they werent royalty, they were normal people. If I had controll over frozen 2 I would have changed it like this: It start with Anna and Kristoffs proposial, Elsa gets worried that she is going to loose Anna and makes her worried that she wont be a good queen without her by her side, her powers go haywire and do the hanging crystal thing. It make them find mysterious things and lead them on the journey to the northuldra, on the way they meet Ryder and Honey maren which guides them to the forest. There they find out Kristoff has relatives which causes Anna and Kristoff to question their marrige and relationship and what it means to be a family. There is some challenges for each of them to take, some proper sleuthing, then turns out there is a person who intend to kep the people separate from magic in order to alone control it all, they defeat him, Anna and Kristoff decide to stay behind for a while to get to know their new family, Elsa return home with renewed faith in herself to be a great Queen and a new mission to return magic to Arendelle. I shortened and simplified it a bit but I already made a wall of text.

Great review! And to fix points B, D, and E... What if KRISTOFF was part Northuldran, instead of Anna and Elsa? 1. We still know nothing about his family, so there’s nothing to disprove this (I remember complaints about Iduna looking too White to be Northuldra) 2. The movie strongly hinted this. He has a lot in common with the Northuldra (the reindeer, outdoor lifestyles, even their clothes look similar). Plus he's shown interacting more with the Northuldra (especially Ryder) than did Anna and Elsa. I predict this was another one of Disney’s scrapped ideas. 3. Given the whole Arendelle-Northuldra conflict, it could really put his and Anna’s relationship to the test. This would give the two more meaningful conflicts to overcome as a couple (besides him just screwing up at proposals). Would he suddenly discover his Northuldra roots (like Anna and Elsa did)? Or like Queen Iduna would he keep it a secret? How would Anna react knowing her beloved keeping secrets from her? Kristoff/Anna could've been the film's Romeo/Juliet ! 4. Kristoff being both Arendellian and Northuldran would give him more relevance to the plot. He'd be more directly involved with making peaceful relations between the two kingdoms. In the end instead of becoming King, he could become a Royal Ambassador: educating Arendellians and Northuldrans about each others' cultures and clearing up long-held misunderstandings about each other. Those are just my thoughts :)

Me personally, I loved this song and the message, but kristoff was so poorly written into this story that it had no emotional value or touch when the only reason he’s singing it is because “oh she left again while I was preparing a proposal and the worst time”. When I first heard the song, I hadn’t seen the movie yet and imagined some kind of huge choice Anna had to make in the moment of crisis between helping Elsa or him and her going after Elsa in her need to protect her. And due to that he gets lost in the woods and questions if he should even try to look for them feeling like he’s not important enough to her. That’s just me though! Whenever I listen to the song I just imagine it went down that way to cope lol

When i heard the whole 5th spirit, "Ice is seperate from water" thing, i was REALLY hoping to see a reveal of her using Fire or something in a fight scene. Just because we could write off the "ice" idiocy as "Oh, she isnt the spirit of Ice, she's some kind of Spirit of Temperature".Which would make sense, as Temperature is atomic movement. It WOULD explain why she can move ice and snow in the air, it would explain her superiority over the other spirits, and it would basically fix most of the proplems with Frozen's flawed logic. they could've just called it "Frozen 2: The ice is melting" or something, essiantially using a hidden red herring, actually mentioning the Temperature thing, whilst focussing the title on Ice still. what do you think about it? any flaws im not noticing? btw, sorry for my bad english, im german and absolutely oblivious to anything other than bratwurst. PS: Elsa's freezing in Ahtohallan i felt like, was kindof a power thing? like, Ahtohallan is Elsa's bond to the spirits right? i felt like it was overpowering her, since Ahtohallan seemed like the place where all the ice magic comes from. So i thought "oh yeah, Ahtohallan is just way stronger than Elsa, being able to basically freeze her, even though that she has a giant resistence to ice, showing the power of ahtohallan.". I agree though, it was very poorly written and they could've portrayed it better, maybe not linking Elsa's freezing to Anna directly, since that made it look like it was just to give Anna shit to do.

This is coming from a huge Frozen fan, while I loved all the songs and adored the animation of Frozen 2, I have to agree that the plot desperately needed another rewrite or two. Kristoff's presence in the film was completely unnecessary and they should have went with the original proposal plot with the song and Anna proposing to him, then had him stay behind with the kingdom till the film's ending. Olaf was only there to be a plot device about how water has memory and for the little kids to laugh at every now and then, and Anna and Elsa were really lacking some character development that led up to Elsa staying in the forest and Anna going back to Arendelle. You can tell that Anna has attachment issues with Elsa which was due to the years of being shut out by her. Yet, that never really gets resolved and Anna just magically becomes okay with Elsa being separated from her at the end. That is what really bothered me the most. That, and the fact that Disney cut the original ending where Elsa shows Anna a memory of her mother saying she wanted to tell Anna about Elsa when they got back and how Anna's love could hold up the world. I also completely agree the film should have spent more time on the Northuldra and the Arendelle soldiers especially Mattias. I feel a huge problem with this film is they had way too many characters to keep up with.

@@avivastudios2311 I also had another idea for Kristoff and that was he does go to the enchanted forest engaged to Anna, but then he and Anna have a rough patch in their relationship and they could have a relationship arc where they learn to deal with relationship problems. As for the rough patch, I liked the idea from the cut storyboard where Kristoff admits to Anna he doesn't really like the royal life in Arendelle which causes Anna to second guess their engagement or there could be a completely different situation. It would actually be nice to see a relationship that isn't all sunshine and rainbows because that isn't a real relationship. Couples will go through struggles and they have to learn how to overcome them together. I actually think this is a better idea for Kristoff then what I originally wrote.

I LOVE the idea of Mattias becoming the king while Anna and Elsa go off to explore a third movie. He was criminally underused. As a passionate Frozen fan, Frozen 2 really peeved me, and part of it was because the teaser trailers implied so many cool things. Like when I first saw Elsa running across the ocean, my jaw dropped. But in the movie theres like no emotional backing and it feels kind of glossed over. And when, in the teaser, the water horse was revealed, I immediatly thought this meant there was a water-weilding new character. Just like how Elsa made a living snowman, this new character made a living mass of water. Also, Elsa was fighting it, which implied that Elsa and this new water-weilder were enimes, which even FURTHER implied an epic showdown of water vs. ice. Instead we got a very convoluted plot that kids couldn't follow and bored adults that gave us no awesome action showing off their powers and instead added a bunch of lore that was never forshadowed in the first movie, and we're expected to just follow along with it. Like did they even rewatch the first movie? The questions that come from it are: How/why does Elsa have powers, and are there any others who do too? Those two questions alone are enough to fill a movie or maybe even most of two sequels, and yet they add in all this flubber that distracts from the core themes and worldbuilding that Frozen 1 set up. Anyways I have very strong feelings about frozen sorry y'all

I think when Olaf says “when I’m older everything makes sense” it’s supposed to be a joke that being older is more confusing than when it was when you were a child. Olaf is supposed to be a representation of what a kid thinks and kids think everything will be better when your older.😗

I actually find quite disappointing the fact that Anna was such a powerful character in the first movie but they decided to make Elsa have YET ANOTHER EXISTENTIAL CRISIS. I mean, it would have been way better seeing a prequel to the events in the first movie so that we could see how the world of the movie works, or even if Elsa has power, why Anna wouldn't have them too? It would be awesome to see Kristoff's past too. It was such a waste of potential to a great history that we had in the first movie.

Actually, Elsa freezing is possible. There's an experiment where you take a water bottle with water and something else in it, and when you slam it down, the force causes the water to freeze, so it is possible that the impact of falling could've caused Elsa to freeze, and after a period of time, she would unfreeze. I can't recall what the experiment is called, but I know that it is possible.

(I made this as I watched the review so any similarities are coincidental... if there are none then there was completely no reason for me to type this lol) issue one: make Anna stay behind to become the default leader of the kingdom thereby making two story lines that intersect some point. Could've dealt with the fear of separation again. Issue two: the musical number was cring, but I'm pretty soon was meant to be. The rest of the problem could have been fixed with fix one. Issue three: I don't think he was AS bad as you said. Again this could've been fixed with fix one. (Are you seeing a pattern develop?) Issue four: yeah, that was poorly handled. Vast amount of potential. But poorly handled. Issue five: ... They should've just made a prequel movie. Issue six: I think you said yourself, they were trying to make a copy of avatar the last air Bender. They failed. Issue seven: I theorize that Elsa inherited a combination of water and air properties. if they ever introduce a Azula like character in a future movie (I'm hoping) they can have a fire/air attribute.

I love this idea! Can someone fan fiction it and or make art concepts? It works, it flows and it gives Disney what we all know they wanted: Cash grab. Having them travel the world for the other three seasons is brilliant maybe having an over arching baddie? It’s never been done before I don’t think and it would be like a series in movie form. For Disney the first princess movie with an ACTUAL villain in a while as well as a multi-movie franchise. But yeah, could someone fan fiction this and or art concept it more into an actual movie? Wait but the conflict was ‘resolved’ when Anna broke the dam. This made Elsa unfreeze because she’d found the truth and with Anna’s help freed them. I think Disney sequel aren’t usually that good because they try to ‘out do’ what they managed with the first movie and in turn ruin the sequels there are some exceptions but they are mostly bad.

THANK YOU FOR SAYING ALL OF THIS! The one thing that irked me so bad about this movie was the lack of Anna's powers. Anna should have been blessed with Magic as well. I love the seasonal powers idea and I fully believed that Anna would have some kind of Fall powers, or maybe as Elsa's opposite, Summer powers. It being that way would have made sense that they were two opposite sides of the bridge, at least for that side of the world since those powers would have a really wide range. Maybe two bridges per side of the world, both with their seasonal opposites as both sides: Winter and Summer, Spring and Fall. I would think that as the more extreme opposites, Elsa and Anna would manage the more extremely powerful spirits, while the two others would manage the milder ones. It would keep the elemental spirits in, but they would be actual creatures that the seasonal spirit characters protect on their sides of the world. I can't help but think that if such spirit characters like Elsa had existed back then, the Northuldra would have been protected from the King of Arendale, or able to BRIDGE THE GAP between them and explain the spirits purpose since they are human and magic and have the best understanding of it. I also hated that Anna got the Kingdom. Don't get me wrong, she deserves it, but she didn't really earn it. Elsa never wanted it, and I feel like she just gets to run off and be free while Anna gets kingdom via sloppy seconds. If Anna was queen to protect that side of the world as a seasonal spirit while Elsa protected the other side, like an actual fucking BRIDGE, I could understand that. Maybe summer spirits could even live in the kingdom and help the people there like the ones who help the Northuldra people. I could justify Elsa giving the kingdom to Anna then, because Elsa isn't really a people person. Being in the forest is better for her. Anna IS a people person and her personality not only fits the summer season, but it also fits better for interacting with the people of Arendale. It also seems unfair that the spirits put a limit on how many children got powers. One life, one magical baby. Is that what we're really doing Disney? Anna deserved better as a character, and she should have gotten powers and been given more purpose other than to chase an older sister is who extremely keen on running away from her problems and responsibilities. Thanks again for saying this because boy did this movie make almost no sense and have lots of cringe.

Elsa didn't create the sunflowers, they are just colored ice. And Anna being there in Frozen 2 is important for her mental health storyline. She doesn't make sense, until the end. That's the point. Also Elsa freezes bc the song says if you go too far you will be drown. But Ahtohallan is frozen, so sge freezes in place of drowning. Then Elsa unfreezes bc Ahtohallan and spirits are freed and not angry anymore thanks to Anna. Then the point of Anna being the other end of the bridge. It is important that Anna is just human without powers, bc she is the human person. Elsa is alone person. Olaf was like that in the movie bc the movie is really meta about the fans of Frozen 1 growing up and having difficult questions. Almost everything in the movie makes sense. You just have to watch the movie more carefully. I think all the problems could have been solved with longer run time.

Personally, I have my own idea for how they could theoretically fix this. Namely have another character who was given magical powers like Elsa but had the opposite kind of background. Namely their life was destroyed by their magic, either by accident or by the persecution of others and this caused said person to go more or less insane as a result. Now they seek to destroy all magic, seeing it as a curse on all humanity and now Elsa needs to stop them.

So maybe like Samantha from my fan fiction. She’s the energy spirit and can control lightning. Samantha had feared her powers her whole life and because she wasn’t royalty she couldn’t stay in one place because she kept banished from kingdoms due to her accidents she kept having with her powers. She ended up in the Enchanted Forest where she froze in Atahollon. Elsa ended up freeing her but Samantha had sworn revenge on everyone so she created a lightning storm in Arendelle. She wished she wasn’t the energy spirit. In the end Elsa and her friends help Samantha fix her mistakes.

@@cassidyh5021 Eh I was thinking more a male character who controls Fire and is more mentally unstable due to all the suffering he experienced. Sort of an opposite of Elsa kind of deal. She dealt with her problems by isolation and hardening her heart much like the Element of Ice, while the other guy lashed out with rage and destruction like Fire. Kind of a dark parallel to what Elsa could've become.
@cassidyh5021
@cassidyh5021 8 ай бұрын
That could be interesting. I don’t think there will be any else with fire powers because we already have a fire spirit. However I think it is possible to have characters with powers who have no connection to the spirits. It all depends on what Disney decides to do with the story. I’m okay with another character with fire powers as long as the story still makes since and the character isn’t Anna.

@@cassidyh5021 Well I'd have tweak the story of Frozen 2 and removed the whole Fifth Spirit thing and have it be revealed Elsa's powers were just a random occurrence, no deep significance to it, the Spirits revealing that it's simply something that happens from time to time with the Fire Guy being another individual who that happened to, only things worked out worse for him and he's being "proactive in destroying magic itself.
@cassidyh5021
@cassidyh5021 8 ай бұрын
@@thefanwithoutaface8105 I personally don’t think the fifth spirit is a bad idea but something I wonder if fans would like is to give Anna more inclusion in the fifth spirit. Now had the fifth spirit not existed and Elsa’s powers had no deep significance then your idea would be a possibility for Frozen 3. Actually if Disney decides that there are people in the Frozen universe who just have powers unrelated to the spirits then your idea or a similar one could definitely work for Frozen 3. Had none of the spirits existed and Frozen 2 had nothing to do with exploring the Enchanted Forest then your idea could have worked for Frozen 2. I sometimes worry that Frozen 3 will debunk the possibility of the characters in my fan fiction existing in the canon story but there are ways to still have the characters exist in another fan fiction. I only mentioned that because your idea reminded me of how I can still have characters like Samantha in my fan fiction no matter what happens in the next movie.

Not gonna lie, when I first watched Frozen 2, I was so excited for Anna to get powers or something. So, the idea of her being a kind of balance for the spirits was (and would be) really appealing. Also, the idea of the seasonal spirits - having them potentially be humans who could become various animals - would be SO cool, and kinda clever.
