FIXING Hypno in Pokémon FRLG

Today we are going to be giving the Hypno line the dark typing in Pokémon Leaf Green and give it new moves along with it! Kanto usually doesn't have a single dark type Pokémon in it, so join me as I play through the game to see how adding one changes it!

Yeah it definitely seems like the gen 1 remakes weren't designed with dark types in mind (makes sense given they knew you wouldn't have access to any). Still though, it's weird dark wasn't retroactively added to any pokemon like Steel and Fairy were when added, Hypno, Gengar, and maybe some of the pure poison-types would have been good candidates (though gengar totally would've been busted as a ghost/dark in gens 2-5

Yeah I agree, I think ekans would be a great pick too, but overall it was a fun experiment I enjoyed it

Poison/Dark is a great type combo too, would make arbok (or maybe muk) pretty competent@@OKreations

3:26 Drowzee is very clearly based on an animal called a Tapir. They basically look like pigs with trunks, and many species have that two-tone coloration that Drowzee does.

I actually agree that Drowsy/Hypno should have that dark as a secondary type. It's kinda underwhelming as a mono type, adding another type would really help balance it a bit more

I really wish they retyped Hypno and also Arbok to be dark type. Arbok just gives dark type vibes to me. Would’ve balanced out the games and made those two lines more popular too.

Hypno, Gyarados, Fearow, and Arbok all should have had Dark added as a secondary type. Replace Flying with Dark for Gyarados. Replace Normal for Dark for Fearow.

It's really strange how some Kanto mons didn't get the types that fit them (like Ninetales with Ghost, Hypno and Arbok with Dark, Porygon with Electric, Blastoise with Steel).

I always think moveset how fit pokemon story its more fun. For me, the best are Hypnosis, Nightmare, Dream Eater and Wake-up Slap

I like the wake-up slap here especially since Hypnos got a decent physical attack stat!

Hypnos weirdly enough my favorite psychic type i think a cross gen evolution would be sick but not a regional variant then your just gonna have a better version of hypno and leave the og one in the dust also can you do a nega evolution and cross gen evolution tier list
