One thing that took care of wrinkles completely for me was allowing a half inch of water or less inside and then standing outside the pool with a shop broom. Then take the broom and reach inside the pool and hit the bottom wall walking all around the pool as it fills. Best way to clear up wrinkles in my opinion. Also good to check how level the posts are as it fills every few hours or so knock them back into alignment. Props to anyone setting up a pool for their family's use, it's a lot of work. A pool is fun for everyone except the person who takes care of the pool. But when your kids flip out and smile in excitement when they see it, totally worth the headache. 😄

I had to laugh out loud watching both of your pool videos. I’m 58 years old and a woman FYI and I did almost exactly everything you did. From getting the water out with a shop vac so I could get the wrinkles out of the bottom to the pavers. I felt every bit of your pain. One thing my neighbor did to help, after I had already been trying everything myself for a few days, was she lifted the side of the pool from the outside and pulled it. I was too busy in the pool trying to get the wrinkles out to try that. It worked wonders to help with the big wrinkles. That happened because it started to rain as soon as I got it up. After 3 days of rain there was water enough I said oh just fill it up forgetting about the wrinkles. By the way thank you for your service.

Have the same size pool. The best thing I did was order a custom 64 foot ratchet strap to go all the way around the base of the legs sitting on the plastic caps. I was worried about those legs moving around. Worked perfect 👍🏼

We used 4x12 inch pavers under every leg and dug them down to be level. We put sand under & because we did it the right way ours has made it through 2 70+ mph wind storms here in Ky. It took a week but that was 4 summers ago. It’s definitely worth doing it the right way

My husband claimed that I over planed when were put our intex 24x12x52 pool in. making sure it was wrinkle free and level and pavers were laid out and boardered correctly.... because realizing you missed something when you have 80,000 pounds of water sitting on that problem you need to correct is infuriating.

Future reference….. start at one spot against the wall and move clockwise around the pool …. It will get them all out.

We had to drain our pool and re-level it using some pavers. One thing we didn’t think about was the ladder. Once the pavers were in place and the kids started using the pool, we noticed that the ladder was hitting the top rails of the pool. This actually dented two of the top rails. Now we’ve had to order two more top rails, and will have to drain the pool again in order to switch them out. So don’t forget to check your ladder if you’ve raised up your pool and be sure it still clears that top rail.

I’ve never used pavers I get craft wood and paint with liquid flex seal and I relevel the ground every year then got smart I dug trench and put dig in edge and used paver base and got it super level and thanks to the dig n edge I had no wash out and it stayed til this season yay! You will blister yourself pulling with hands or feet the squeegee makes it so easy and the inch of water helps them to flatten

Ahahhaahaha loud train lol good job looks good ,we did 18x48 and we did some digging in the ground one side lower and one higher 5 legs have pavers and the rest are sitting in the ground nice and tight, towards the back of the yard and away from house are the pavers and its higher so if happens that it would tilt or any bad weather or who knows now days whatever hits it it will go down the yard since other legs arent moving and are nicely in the ground and it will not hit inside the house we love it ! I'm thinkin of installing skimmer next year need something to clean it because for while now I have been cleaning it myself with brush dont mind it but since pool went from 16 to 18 its alot more work now lol

My son and I got in the pool while it was filling and jumped back kicking the bottom of the wall with our heels. We did that until there was no wrinkles and there was enough water in it to keep it flat.

Pavers should be level. I went inside my pool before filling it and used my feet to pull the wrinkles and then again as it was filling. No wrinkes now. While the pool fills, every 39 min you should adjust the legs which is why pavers shouldn’t go too close to the pools liner as they will pull out. Wider pavers are better but we had a 16ft concrete slab poured to avoid unleveled ground and pavers potentially touching the liner. Installing a wall skimmer tomorrow!

using pavers will raise the walls the side walls are only so long go too high and you will pull the floor liner up and will act as a side wall this will cause a hole where the side and bottom meet happened to us

Best thing I did was pour a 6inch slab concrete and installed the pool on it.

Just converted to salt.. we have the exact same set up we went with the larger skimmer.. I have a question.. how long did you run your salt system the first time?

I got on my hands and knees before I put water in and push them toward the edges and then I put a little water in and put on my shower shoes and I was able to move the bottom and smooth it out

Yes you should of put pavers level with ground because now there is more force being put on the liner since it’s higher

Yea best way to get wrinkles out is to have 2 people on the inside of the pool. U both have to jump and kick back at the same time. But yea pools are fun lol. Worth all the bs we go thru

Do you still have it up from last year? On the pavers still? We didn’t dig ours down either. Ours is a 20’x52”. Just got my wide mouth skimmer in the mail today. So nervous to cut lol

You should’ve buried the pavers in the dirt or sand below the pool. Sticking it up on pavers like that will end up causing issues.

Did you ever have any issues with placing the pavers on top of the ground vs digging them in? I’m using wood blocks (temporarily) and was worried about the height increase pulling on the liner seam. Thanks!

What size plug are those in the 2 port bs? Ate they expandable rubber plugs? What size?

How did you get the last top bar in? I have about a 5" difference & cannot pull it back or stretch it out enough to get it snapped togther to completely form the top ring?

What thickness are your pavers? And did the edge of the pool hit too close with the pool ladder?

What if one set up his above ground pool on a concrete slab ? would that help regarding the wrinkles or even the issue with the legs bending in or out ?

Does the salt from the pool kill grass?.

Papers won't help level the pool. It's the pool liner that you need to worry about

Careful with the pavers they will where holes in the liner you need to put protection for that

Did you need a permit for your pool? I need one and they are saying I need to bond. I thought this was for the pools that stay all year.

Next time stretch your in the sun for couple of hours u will see u won't have no wrinkles trust me

What did you use to cap off the old inlet holes?

try keeping your camera still get dizzy watching moving the camera to darn fast was not easy to watch
