Some small projects on the farm in Ecuador before I leave for a summer job in Alaska. Today I fix my septic pipe.

Use a hot glue gun on the pipe and coupling to stop small leaks.

That is not a septic drain line. It is the line to the septic tank if you have one. The septic lines come out of the other side of the septic tank after the distributor. They are usually set to grade on contour. The actual septic drain lines are usually 6" black plastic and have gravel under them. That is just the pluming from the house to the system. Soil looks great.

Talk about a sh1tty situation LOL!!! Jokes aside, nice work bro-- a little Teflon Tape to seal around the couplers go a long way.

I think the Teflon tape is only used on threaded water lines. I suspect it would only jam things up and complicate the job with unthreaded couplings and pipe.

How is your area with the increasing gang violence going on in Ecuador?

The area where my farm is located is still peaceful and friendly. Quito is less safe than it used to be. Most of the violence is just between gangs, but it does spill over with an increase in muggings and car jacking, etc…
