There’s hundreds of car channels on here and there more interested in modifying and making them undriveable with a 1000hp. This man truly loves his cars everything he does you can see the love for it. Wish more channels was like this. Instead of abusing the cars.

Definitely true and he's just a diamond he's old school I love that he's the only English car guy I follow. I can't stand the English channels trying to be American. This channel doesn't care at all about usa. Its all UK gold.

Hi Adam, I really enjoyed this video because the filming and editing made it feel just like we were there doing things exactly like most “diy tinkerers” would do things. (It’s fine watching channels where the whole car is disassembled and rebuilt 6 months later on a 10k budget, but not many of us can afford to do that)..- Your channel is much more real world. Big respect to you buddy. 🙏

As already mentioned I wouldn’t have sanded the silver before the lacquer on the trims as you are dulling of the metallics in the paint, however without seeing them first hand the trims from my sapphire had a more satin silver finish so the way you have done it may be more near factory anyway, not sure I’ve never seen brand new. Another tip is warm up your paint cans in a bowl of hot water as paint sprays better warm and you get a little more pressure in the can and a better spray. Also I’ve always found Halfords spray a bit thin, my preference is to go to a paint factors and have a spray can made up. Also putting on top mounts I have learned gunning up the nuts can be detrimental to the adjusters for the firmness, better to spanner up with a deep reach spanner for the nut, and a spanner on the flats just below the firmness adjuster to stop the shock spinning as you tighten. Also bare metal you want an etch primer, then primer then paint, and as well as warming paint having a nice warm area to spray gives a better finish, I have a log burner in my garage and I leave the part on top or next to it to warm it, then paint it near to it then let it dry near the burner, you get a mint finish. Keep up the great videos mate

Great video Adam, love the car. I always get good results with halfords paint too. Just one tip, on bare metal I always use etch primer first, sometimes the finish paint can chip off if put straight onto bare metal.
@ep91monster
@ep91monster 2 жыл бұрын
Just a tip mate. With metallics, you prime and wet sand the primer flat. Then you paint the metallic base coat, couple semi wet coats then a final coat more dusted on so the metallic flakes stand more upright. Then dont sand between metallic base and clear, all you do between those coats is tack rag them off to grab off any of the metallic flake dust thats sitting like dust. Then for clear, if you've not got a compressor, use 2k clear in a can. The cans you puncture and mix the hardner in with. 2k is totally chemical and petrol resistant. Plus the gloss level achieved cant be compared to. You struggle to get a nice gloss from acrylic clear and it doesn't wet sand and compound easily.

As a spraypainter I was hoping to see you use some plastic primer on the light surrounds and etch primer on the alloy tank🤣 a tip for the future is don't rub down metallic paint before you clear coat it, just wait till it dries then clear coat it. that way you won't see any scratch marks and you lessen the chance of a reaction
