I must say that these guys changed the way I train for the better. I lowered my weights, started focusing on control and the stretch and not only do I feel safer during my sets, I feel the particular muscle working way better. Kudos to Dr. Mike. Thank you for opening my eyes. Edit: I also forgot to say that not only do I feel the difference but I can see it as well.

same. i dropped the weight and started to mirror their form (full stretch, ass WAY out for lat prayers and rows, etc) and now my shoulders don't hurt AND I'm filling out my shirts with muscle mass at a far faster rate than heavy weights, less-than-full rom, always injured....

I did the same. You really start to notice how little people pay attention to time under tension and just move weight. My gains have been on a different level by taking it slow and contracting and stretching the muscle. Pause. I thought I knew what mind-muscle connection was but not until this year I really started realizing I was half assing it.

Really loved the video and all the exercises especially the low incline flye. Tristyn form on all the exercises is amazing. He performed with pure perfection. He really controlled the eccentrics so well, paused at the bottom to get the deep stretch and focused on the right cues and his technique was on point. Phenomenal work. Props to him. Training with Dr. Mike and Jared must be amazing and definitely one of the best decision anyone could make. The video was entertaining and informative from start to finish. Enjoyed it thoroughly and learned plenty on what type of exercises to choose and how to do them efficiently for the targeted muscle. It’s certainly an honour to be able to learn all of this information through such high quality content. We’re quite lucky to have individuals like Dr. Mike and Jared who share all their knowledge and experience with us. I’ve improved my training infinitely more now after watching your content regularly. Thank you RP Team! 💪👍🙏

Started doing the cambered barbell bench press and believe me, that exercise will humble you! I have never been more sore following a chest workout. Followed up that exercise with an incline dumbbell bench press, heavy dips, and pec deck. By far my favorite chest workout and I am glad I found a routine that give my chest an unbelievable mind blowing pump.

You’ve truly changed the way I approach training. No longer I try to lift the most amount of weight possible with lots of momentum doing cheat repetitions. Now, I try to make the exercise as difficult and challenging as possible by putting my body in more disadvantageous positions to target the desired muscle and improve the SFR of the movement. I use muscle disruption and the pump as important feedback and rely on them to know if I’m successful in getting a good muscle growth stimulus all the while keeping very good technique to minimize the risk of injuries and drop fatigue and maximize muscle growth. I always try to add extra range of motion, slowing down the eccentric even further and pausing at the bottom deep stretch position. Thank you! 💪🙏👍

This is the channel I wish I found when I started working out. Since binging nearly every video, I changed my workout routines by lowering the weights and focusing on controlling my eccentric movements. Game changer. If you're starting out, get over the "I wanna lift big weights" phase as soon as possible. Focus on controlled movements, you will blow up way faster. Additionally, if you plan to work out in your 40s and 50s, all those injuries from bad form are going to add up by then. One of the most eye opening moments for me was how sore my back was after following Dr. Mikes back workout, particularly the bent over barbell row. Keep it up man, this is the content everyone needs to see.

it's more in line with a powerlifting style of lifting, hell... sometimes I even hold my breath for a full 3-5reps... Nothing quite compares to your first breath/brace and pausing to reset robs time. I train purely for strength with no concern for bodybuilding so experimenting around with other styles might be a good thing for you, just saying the way you're presently doing isn't pointless. It's in fact necessary especially on heavier lifts like squat/deadlift.

Just got your RP hypertrophy app to try it out for a month or two. Sort of related question, what do you do for your rolling cardio? I've been lifting weights for a while and recently started attending BJJ class again and my cardio is pretty bad. Besides the traditional BJJ is how you build cardio for BJJ what else would you recommend for getting that cardio level up to where it needs to be? I'm breathing hard by my 2nd 5 minute roll and finding myself giving up position in order to not move and just breathe. What's the Rx? Sprints, HIIT, battle rope, what?? Thank you good sir

Would love some feedback on whether these principles are good to implement in a hypertrophy phase for someone primarily concerned with progressing strength? I'm training for arbitrary strength goals that i've set for personal enjoyment in the gym. Bench, DL, squat, OHP and weighted pull-up mainly. However, i'm not pursuing them in a "powerlifter" fashion so to speak. I'm not using any advantage possible to fit my form within the confines of a ruleset. So no giga-arching on bench, no sumo deadlift, high-bar ATG squat (cuz it's aesthetic af imo) etc. Would love some ideas on how relevant the RP bodybuilding form-coaching cues are for someone in my situation?

Have yall seen how strong tristan is in some of the other lifts. Dude is freakishly strong for his size, this actually makes me feel a little better, my chest is super weak as well.

Problem with the PR app is people already piss me off being on their phones. I do love your content and try to implement deeper stretches on different exercises. Your humour and banter is by far my favourite 🤩

If you can track it in your head you don't need the app. Or use either notebook or spreadsheet. Our gym has spreadsheets you can pick up free. There's a couple tables people just leave them there and walk over and make notes between machines. Some of the older people bring clip boards.

@@Vincent_Beers fuck me mate. Love to know what type of gym you go to. I go to real men’s gyms where we lift heavy arse weight. Not walk around with spreadsheets and clipboards 🙄😂

If lifted chest is preferable during incline bench, is there a reason you haven’t gotten the Arsenal Strength curved incline lumbar bench? Wouldn’t that be better because it automatically lifts your chest? I noticed your training partner used the bench before in the Dragon’s Lair gym and you said good things so was wondering why you haven’t gotten it for yourself.
