I had no doubt that is would run. These 450's are amazing and will run for thousands of miles and years. I've been riding since age 16, and now 76 decided to get a 450 similar to one I had in the 70's and found a nice CM450 version. Sitting for 2 years with old gas and stabilizer thankfully, hooking up a battery, turing on the fuel flow it fired up on the second crank. Needing a tire, brakes, coil it runs like a charm. Enjoying the ride without windshield like I did in my youth.

I had no idea that Honda produced a 450 in this configuration. It looks like an overgrown 250 Rebel. When I read Honda 450, I was thinking the old DOHC twins.

I've worked on those old bikes alot n the biggest problem is finding replacement parts...it's basically a nightmare!!!...on mine I had to replace the CDI unit twice

I ordered a new dual carb for my rebel 250 old one was rebuilt but was still leaking, I'm just gonna take the old one off and store it for emergency.

Just got gifted one with a supposed electrical fault. Do you happen to remember where you got the solenoid from? Great video by the way!! (I’ll check the switch and battery beforehand)

I have 1982 650 night hawk mine has a hard time starting paid way too much for mine might resell her r trade fer off don't know if the turn signals are original they have a short in them

Just be aware that if you remove the factory airbox and filter and put on airpods, you are going to need to rejet the carbs.

You get a problem with it having a ticking noise i bought 82 nighthawk from a guy said there was a ticking noise my dad thinks tensioner but we are not sure
