So you run a none run in 2stroke with a leaking crank case seal? Itl be leaning out man, to much air not enuf fuel oil? Really?

I have this same outboard, '92. I also had to replace this seal and took a while to find the right dimensions. Im having an issue with acceleration. It shakes and makes a bouncing as if it runs on one cylinder when I give it throttle . Idle is okay but I need to play with the choke to get a smooth idle. Coils seem fine and fuel pump seems to work after checking it while running . Compression is fine. I keep adjusting the jets but to no avail. Any thoughts? Thanks for your always informative vids

The coil will fail if you keep running the engine without spark plugs and grounding them good if for just a test you need to put spark plugs in both coils and ground them good

"I rebuilt the motor myself" and NO, the head gasket does not seat both ways, it should have been glaringly obvious that the bolt holes in the gasket didn't match the head. Attention to detail goes a long way. Accuracy>speed

Nice vids every time. I have a question. My 25hp yamaha 2-stroke makes weird light knocking noises from under the starter, like something is vibrating. Could that be that bearing in this Video ? And what can I do to solve it? Thank you!

I have same motor that I eliminated the oil injection so I just mix oil and gas myself .the motor runs good but occasionally coughs when idling?? Had it to a Yamaha mechanic who could not figure it out? Any ideas ? Motor has under 25 hours on it! Thanks

what could cause a 25ob to choke up and cut out when going through seas, once the boat slams down once or twice this happens it’s never happened before any input?

All you need to do is use a caliper and measure the seal. Buy a non yamaha seal that is the same dimensions and type.
