This still works even in 2020. I switched the audio and video settings to PCM and GAME respectively, then turned lip sync to 0. Streaming HDR 4k content from Netflix has no lag whatsoever now. Thank you!

This didn't solved my problem on Vizio 55in v555-g1. I tried everything you said and nothing. What did it for me was connecting the optical line/cable to the spectrum cable box and to the tv. Sound is perfect now. Thanks for the video though. Helped me troubleshoot.

Thanks, I have been having this issue too. I found that by disconnecting the tv and re-connecting it would fix it but not permanently. I have the changes you showed in your vid and it looks like it worked. Keeping my fingers crossed, that again.

This may be off topic but I'm having an audio problem with my M60-D1. I'm using a fiber optic audio cable but I can't get it to play Dolby audio thru my AVR. All I hear is a high pitched wobbly signal instead of true Dolby audio. It sounds like a digital ferret! Lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

None of the advice has solved my synch issues. Sounded easy and it was but did not work

Pcm will fix it but then you do not get Dolby surround or dts you are just getting stero with fake surround

In my case I have 50 inch Vizeo HD TV fed by an Xfinity box with and HDMI cable. But the sound lags the video, it like watching the old kung fu movies. The other interesting point is the sync problem only seems to happen in the late prime time evening.. When I go to menu on the TV controls and chose Audio and go to the Lip sync feature, it doesn't change a thing.I think it is my cable provider metering my signal.which they say they do not do. but there again how would you know. This also happens on my Windows 10 computer off KZfaq and much of the video clip are out of sync in the evening but not in the morning.

Except this downgrades video quality when putting your tv in game mode. You don't want to buy a big 4k tv just to turn on game mode which disables a lot of picture settings that makes the picture clearer or sharper

One thing that help me was something not from this video I call tech support and they told me to unplug the tv by the power cord on the back then hold the power button for 5 seconds turned the tc back on and it fixed the issue

What about lag? when I try to smartcast my samsung galaxy a20 it always seems to lag every few seconds.

I have a 55 in Vizio and mine was out of sync as well. I changed to PCM and that didn't work for me but pausing the program briefly and unpausing fixes it.
