Lots of people saying they want humans in the next update but what I'm really hoping for is stuff like not having to build walls around the entire green area, or having slopes/varied heights without having to build it all on top of a first-floor building. Maybe half-step heights where the streets create ramps instead of steps and the roofs all flow together. I really want to create Cornish seaside towns but a huge part of that is the varied heights and having far more greenery than is in the game at the moment.

I don’t think the game should be updated, at least not large updates. It’s just a toy, not a game.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with the video but if somebody wants to know : Usuasly old mediterenian costal towns would have old town centers where there wouldn't be a lot of houses packed together while newer parts would be packed with houses to house new inhabitants , sometimes while walking thru cities like this someone could tell where the old part of town ended and where the newer parts start , also you could tell roughly in which century was a house built just by window design ( I can't remember how this works and I don't want to spread false informations , but you could do it )

I love how it’s sort of just forms the buildings together in a natural way as you build them In other building games you sort of have to work around the system in Ways. but in this the system works around you pretty impressive

The visuals at the end are amazing! How do you move your camera like that? In the editor or in the game?

The zooming is done entirely within my video editing program. The panning is done by backing the camera to the edge of the map at an angle, so when you move there is some friction and it moves slowly allowing a steady smooth pan. :)

To bad ships won’t start showing up if you build the right buildings. Like the gardens and paths. I know the game is “done” and they won’t add more, but little fishing ships if you build a market or a frigate if you built a fort would be fun.

Awesome! I wish more people did builds inspired by fantastical or real places. It's kinda hard considering youre bound to this grid, but ive seen some decent recreations out there.

I did make one at normal speed with commentary when i first played the game kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hKmierGg0tKVgmg.html These can take 30-60 minutes to build, i dunno how long people can stay interested in normal speed. Maybe if i was doing a super detailed, focused build... like emulating a real city.

It looks really nice and good job on the creativity part but I just don’t see the point in the game, every video of these villages starts to look the same. Is there any more to the game, like people or bikes or fishing boats, farming ? I like the style but after you’ve built your village what does it do ?

The intent of the game is to relax you, so no, there is nothing more. Completely on purpose :D

I was thinking as much, it hasn’t got objectives or anything to it. It’s like playing with a digital Lego, I would like farming and fishing in it even if I didn’t build the them and people carrying out actions to bring more life to it

The developers should add a little more life to this. Make it have a growing population and such. And also have multiple architecture styles. I am from India. I would want to have my town in Indian architecture. One more thing that could add a lot of value is day-night cycles.

There is a day-night settings in the settings but no cycle so you can see well in the day. The architecture in townscape is supposed to be London/medival/port like. I do wish for more life in the game as it be great to see people doing their own thing.

after 20 minutes towns looks all the same. you need to modify png textures in appa data folder manually.

Very very basic. Needs recourse management, vhiecles, people, connections with other city's. Going to be a while before this game takes off. If it ever does. Looks fun for an hour though

Because its a timelapse. And there is basically no game audio other than bloops, save the occasional pigeon flutter. Seems rather.... obvious to me? Otherwise the entire video would be bloopbloopbloopbloopbloopbloop literally every second.
