In this video I cover the removal of the A-Pillar cover on the interior and exterior of the FJ Cruiser. The snaps that are removed will most likely break, and will need to be replaced. The replacement snaps can be ordered online at purefjcruiser.com

To whoever is here in 2019.... remove the INTERIOR A-Pillar trim first, there is a nut that is securing the EXTERIOR A-Pillar trim piece. Thats why he had epoxy. Just watched on another video titled: How to install Off Road Light for FJ Cruiser by Last Great Road Trip. Good video also.

This must be a new camera, it looks great. Another easy to follow and great video. I just installed my accessory switches for my lights. I followed your example no problems

Not exactly a new camera, I bought an electronic gimbal for my GoPro so it stabilized the video a lot! The gimbal keeps it straight and fixes vibrations. Also I have videos that I'm editing now that are on the wiring and relay placement, they'll be up soon.

Heads up Wen tackling this project.On 10mm. interior pillar Nut 1/4 Socket deep wont reach // Need 3/8 Socket deep And yes these Clips need some muscle to pop em Loose.💣You may be able to find these size Clips but defiantly an off size I purchased factory ones about $1.00 ea. There are 5 Clips on each side.I just did a Semi Complete paint on my 08 Brick Red FJ. Now installing New windshield will b posting on my channel Soon.🍻

Put strip caulk on your socket and nuts will stay in the socket.

+Mundher Al Lawati well, someone removed it anyway. The frustrating thing is the epoxy that they used to stick the a-pillar cover back on bent my cover as i was removing it.

Mundher Al Lawati Removing is a good Idea if you want longevity also replace side windshield strips.Glass guy could mess them up Usually will Mention this to cover his ass .Mine is an 08 Brick Red Solid been all over the states AZ,MT,KY,LA.everything is brittle on mine just did a semi complete Paint and also replaced all belt moldings and back door seal and Antenna grommet 102,000 Strong.

My fj has SRS curtain airbags on the side do you think I can still remove the pillar?

Hmm, I'm not sure. That's a good question. If it were me I would attempt it anyway after disconnecting the battery cable, but I would be careful for sure. Legally I don't think I can recommend that you try it, but it probably isn't too difficult

Hey i have the same arb roof rack you do have you had any issues with water getting in and getting the headliner wet?

Yes, but I'm thinking it's due to a poor windshield replacement. I suppose it could be the rack. Check out Dirona's channel, he takes out his headliner and tries to find the source of the water leak.

does your roof seam leak if so how did you fix the issue

It does, I've tried running caulk down the seam and that didn't change anything. I just park it in my garage at home and don't drive in the rain. I want to replace the seals under my roof rack since I think that's where it's coming from.
