You should do a video where you mow your house grass with the flail mower. I'm going to buy a Betstco like yours and mine will be for my grass as well as my woods. Would be nice to see the finish it does.

Nice work Jon, Flail mowers are the shiznit. I have a 65'' ditch bank flail mower I just replaced all 28 flail hammers on today after a whole seasons (50h) worth of use. They were a little battered from fighting rocks and such. I also bought a 6ft JD LX6 rotary mower to add to my arsenal...........the 'Bota keeps on doing good for ya.

I love my flail mower. It's just an old 1980's Ford 917L, but works great behind my LX2610. Unfortunately, one of the three point mounts cracked on it. While tearing it down to have it welded, one of the drive pulleys broke. Of course, it's an unobtanium part in a very odd size. Parts are currently at a local machine shop. Fingers crossed they can get me patched up. I can't afford to replace it at today's prices.

You have a cab tractor. Use the grapple to knock off the nest and then run over it a couple of times. You cannot get stung. Just dont get out and gloat.😊

Really enjoy watching your videos. Very helpful to me as a new BX23S owner. You got any advise for a newbie regarding flail mowing? I dont have a facebook account so i cant send you a message there. i am purchasing the same mower and looking forward to tackling jobs around my property. lots a brush and uneven ground. Hoping the flail mower will reduce the string trimming workload!

Yes, it is. I still have to use a lawn mower between some of our metal garden beds and around our bee hives and green houses but one thing is certain I DON"T MISS my belly mower. The flail at least for me is a game changer. From New Brunswick Canada be well.

Based on my experience a week ago, the HST fan getting taken out by a stick sounds like a cat with its tail caught in a lawnmower. If you haven't heard that you're probably ok.

@@ritterjonis there a flail that compact that can pivot up vertical so you can trim back the lower branches from the tractor? Maybe KZfaq revenue? I have considered that option, but cost is hard to justify on a tight budget. Flail or better flail. Even used are less common and not very cheap.

Have you used a steel tandem axle trailer? If so can you do a comparison to the aluminum trailer? I have a steel thinking about buying an aluminum because I also pull with a half ton pickup. Love the videos I also have the BX23S. Thanks

I have used an 18 foot steel and my 16 foot aluminum weighs 1000 pound less and can legally carry 1000 pounds more! I definitely notice a difference towing with my truck. It was a worth while purchase. I’ve got an 18 foot steel trailer for sale! Keep on tractoring!

So you like to be prepared. Why not put the 60" underbelly on and run 2 ? Your fan would be protected from that guy. Just wondering.

There’s some terrain the 60 inch wouldn’t hold up to. Also it would be too wide to get into narrower places. Keep on tractoring!
