Quality is decent. Pretty heavy duty with the 27oz hammers. Set at about 4" cutting height. Running over and mulching up stuff way beyond what it is OEM spec'd for.

But for how long will the machine hold up? Better to use a clearing saw and a blade with hardened teeth, to cut down the bushes close to the ground, and later cut the suckers with the flail mower.

@@acajutla Been holding up fine. Machine is rated for 3" material. It is a heavy duty flail mower built to be doing this, not a cute little mower for cutting the lawn. The whole area was tree and brush growth 20 minutes earlier. Every bit of the brown mulched ground was sapling and brush growth.

I saw that they have those super heavy duty flail mowers now. With 5 lbs hammers they most likely won't care what they run over. HP is definitely a needed item to run them though.

Just bought the same one! How is the quality? How low of a setting did you have it on in video?

4" cut height, quality seems good has held up the last year cutting brush.

@@six-packproject2277 heavy knives / hammers. What diameter is the spindle? I don’t believe my machine can handle that. Pillar block bearings? What size axle? 72x27oz that’s a lot of mass. You have a very robust machine!
