This is more in the category of Spanish ballet, such as when go see the national ballet. Flamenco is with the full gypsy troupe. There's also Russian or other European countries type of classical ballet companies in Spain, cities can have their own, like Zaragoza Spain, but they're differentiated between the two types. Spain is different even about that too. What's considered ballet exclusively of Spain. "The National Ballet". It can include other regional types of dance, or even do something goyesque, eighteenth century with the corresponding way of dress. Usually it's every year in Madrid. Before I was married I used to go with my mother. She loved any type of theater, especially musical theater, operettas ( zarzuelas ), and bullfights. Very "castiza". Rooted Castilian Spanish, especially of Madrid. Very much like her father about the arts, and like her maternal, her first cousins about Madrid festivities and traditions, including the Catholic ones. That's why even if my ex husband wasn't too much into my family, had to be all about his family, I always had unique wonderful times and memories with my family. My very warm family. They loved to do typical Madrid ways and places. They knew the best places of old Madrid, whether it be food, taverns, restaurants, bakeries, sweets, or anything else, all of the old specialty and artisan shops. My mother in law was definitely the same way about Zaragoza, also a very rooted Aragonese woman. I miss Spain. I was happy there. Here it's too messed up for me, and anyone can go through a sudden midlife melancholy, but here like to make it permanent. Being ugly people within is celebrated, expected. .
