We just set up the same lathe at my shop... Came looking for videos to help me get started and came across this. Been blowing glass almost 20 years and have yet to make anything on a lathe.. Will be making my first attempt this week.

Good for you. I found the Litton lathe very sturdy and reliable. You can do so many more things with a lathe. Happy glassblowing!

Hmm... I think I'd want that ponytail either under my shirt, or stuffed up under a hat. Think I'd be wearing a full face shield, too.

It's not that intense. I rage flame in my pj's lol as long as you have the basic safety knowledge down to methodical repetition, you're golden.
