Naruto was only a loser because he hadn't been given proper guidance and training. He is the son of the genuis 4th Hokage, though he is not as good as his father. Definitely he has more possibilities than a loser.

@@asianpersuasion4901 Jiraiya knew about Naruto beforehand. He pushed Naruto to his limits and into that near death situation to summon up nine tails chakra.. Its also why he redid the seal that Orochimaru had disturbed

Continuity error: shukaku does not even recognize the nine tails kurama here, even if it were a transformation jutsu. It is bcos the relationship of tailed beasts as siblings will only be established in shippuden

Eh Shukaku isn't that dumb, we even see in Shippuden he has a whole Sealing Style unique to himself and he's mastered Wind Style Jutsu separately from his natural Bijuu abilities. He knows that isn't Kurama and won't bother with it.

@@nahte123456 Well, that'd be nice, but this was in the beginning of Naruto so the whole reasoning behind the tailed beasts wasn't exactly as clearcut as later. Kuarama was just the Nine Tailed Fox, a natural disaster, sealed inside Naruto and not much else. Akatsuki is first seen in the following episodes, and their goal is to capture Naruto for the Nine Tailed Fox. I think its after that Kishimoto really started building the lore behind the tailed beasts.

Watching this when you were little was the best. You thought the exams was going to go normal but they went completely south. Naruto beat neji and sasuke then shows up and u feel like In a way he surpassed naruto and I think sasuke really felt like he did and then eventually sasuke realizes that he still hasn’t surpassed naruto and it was the beginning of sasuke wanting power and wanting to surpas naruto which led to his downfall

not gonna lie, this entire arc had the second most ridiculous chakra feats compared to naruto in war arc..... the dude already used a bunch of shadow clones, which divide your chakra every time, so he basically had like 1/10th of his chakra (or less), then he summoned 2000 clones, so he should have like 1/20,000th of his max chakra, then he summoned gamabunta, which he had to use kyuubi chakra to even summon in the past, THEN he finally used kyuubi chakra to wake up gaara. holy shit

yeah but in war arc he used kcm and made 2000 clones of himself for an extended amount of time, and beating the 3rd raikage with one of them

@@buster1929 right, but we have to think relative. It was already stated that Naruto had a ridiculous amount of chakra, especially when combined with Kurama. Considering how much chakra Kurama has, naruto splitting himself a dozens to hundreds of times, each clone being high jonin low kage level isn't too far fetched.

@@asianpersuasion4901 That’s true, but for a guy like Naruto that couldn’t even create a regular clone because his reserves were so massive it’s pretty negligible. Also he didn’t create nearly 2000 clones, it was like 200 if that. Naruto’s match with Neji was the first of the day, you’ve got to think by the time he fought Gaara his chakra was fully replenished, and he didn’t even use that much of his own during the Neji fight because his points were sealed midway through. The only thing that can’t be explained away here is him summoning Gamabunta after 200+ clones, that was pretty wild.

@@asianpersuasion4901 I mean it is pretty fine to have such battles once in a while, summoning jutsu was not spammed endlessly. Moreover, there were episodes of Naruto learning this so we all were probably expecting for some big action with this jutsu. But the 4th shinobi war had sudden power spikes and sudden reveals such as monstrous rasengans or rasenshurikens or some lava style shit etc which were way over the top. I feel like the main reason is because of the introduction of the sage of the six paths, Indra, Asura etc.

Realistically Gaara would have beat Sasuke and so the next match would have been Naruto vs Gaara which Naruto would have won. Pretty much Naruto got shafted out of winning the whole thing and becoming a Chunin.

Gaara lost to Sasuke the moment Sasuke stopped him from transforming and wounded him with the chidori, he couldn't continue fighting and needed to rest.

@@appletree3895 That happened later when gaara retreat, rest, healed, and recovered Chakra, on the other hand, Sasuke didn't rest and also beat Temari, wasting precious Chakra. Sasuke won the exam the moment he injured him with the chidori and stopped him from transforming.

My theory is that Gaara is not very good in hand to hand combat due to the nature of his jutsu. Thats why Naruto is better in throwing punches.
