Hunter × Hunter (pronounced "hunter hunter") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. The story focuses on a young boy named Gon Freecss who discovers that his father, who left him at a young age, is actually a world-renowned Hunter, a licensed professional who specializes in fantastical pursuits such as locating rare or unidentified animal species, treasure hunting, surveying unexplored enclaves, or hunting down lawless individuals. Gon departs on a journey to become a Hunter and eventually find his father. Along the way, Gon meets various other Hunters and encounters the paranormal.

@@alexanderloeb and also *SPOILER* I love Meruem and Komugi’s end scene. He is lighting up her world while his grows darker (literally because it’s pitch black) so he finally sees the same as her. It’s a great juxtaposition that people forget about when comparing to Gon’s regression

No, Gon can’t beat Mereum in new form. And before the change in strenght of Mereum, the aura of Gon is equal not stronger than Mereum’s aura.

this will never be explained in the anime, but hisoka has an additional hatsu ( ability), he can change the texture of things of his choosing, such as skin, paper or ink + 997 more things according to togashi ( the author ), so he's pretty versatile

I'm so happy you guys noticed Meruem's new speed and mentioned Gon's. Everyone else keeps saying adult Gon was weaker than pre-rose Meruem but people need to remember that when the king fought Netero he can see his movements but not exceed his speed so he needed Netero to make a mistake to disable him. Also if you can remember, when the chairman attacked Pitou he/she was able to see Netero's movement too but when Pitou attacked Gon he/she couldnt see him at all and thought that he was gonna go to the king and just that simple feat tells that he is a lot faster than Netero. Also Gon already incapacitated Pitou with a single kick while Meruem delivered a strike meant to kill him/her but Pitou was fine.

1 kick and a punch killed pitou. I still believe adult gon can take down old king with ease and could be able to at least make new king go all out.

@@eagleeye8686 It took repeated punches to kill Pitou, not just 2 moves. Killua saw the light coming from several punches before he arrived and according to the narrator came in at the finishing blow.

@@WolforNuva gon managed to knock out pitou with one kick, meruem didnt when he hit pitou with his tail and he even said he tried to kill her, also gon full power janken was similar to a nuke, what did netero resorce to kill meruem? a nuke.. adult gon > pre rose meruem post rose meruem > adult gon

@???loolo lolo??? I don't think Meruem's attempt at killing Pitou is very comparable to Gon's. Meruem may have intended a killing blow but he clearly wasn't trying too hard, especially since everyone else around him died fairly easily he likely didn't think he had to. Gon on the other hand was focusing all of his aura into his fist, the difference is like night and day.

Gon also didn't knock Pitou out with a kick. Pitou was awake and aware when flung into the air and falling back down, they were just winded, it was after the Jajaken Rock to the face that Pitou slipped into unconsciousness. Also lol no, Gon's punch was never equal to a nuke.

I wonder why Gon still looks so normal at 9:36. We know that he basically isńt more like a shriveled up piece of coal later on (in the hospital) but in Palms flashback his skin looks still normal and he is also not as thin as later on

Fact: if knov was still in the battle and he joined with meleoron he would have easily killed king and 3 royal guards in a 5 min mark. Powerful or weak it doesn't matter His power "Hide and seek" and attack "scream" which creates a void and destroys enemies is too op similar to kamui of kakashi but extremely fast. They purposefully made to get him out of the mission to move the plot

Gon is nowhere strong as the king when pitou said gon is "equal to the king" it was a mistranslation in the anime, in manga if i remember correctly pitou actually said that "hes fang may sink into king" and also i think adult gon is not stong chairman he has no chance to the king before or after reborn.
