Oh, yes. The Classic Nite Owl buses. They used buses late at night instead of the underground subway and/or el trains because it tends to get a bit dangerous at late night for the train stations. I mean this is Philly, not New York.

Yes, paired to an Allison transmission. 8000-series Neoplans were paired to an Allison, while the "newer" 3000-series Neos were paired with a ZF.
