SEPTA Bullet Cars and PCCs in Germantown, PA: Philadelphia circa 1990

10 жыл бұрынThe classic Brill-built Bullet cars were still running all out on the Norristown High Speed Line and PCC's were rolling on the classic Germantown streetcar route in the this VHS clip circa 1990. It is Philly transit as it was back then. Eagles eyes will note some interior and exterior shots of #206, which is now on display at the Electric City Trolley Museum in Scranton, PA adjacent to the Steamtown National Historic Site.

In the 60s those Bullets were a LOT faster.

Thanks for posting this! Operator on #205 looks like the late Alan Ricketts. Car #205 still runs occasionally at Rockhill Trolley Museum roughly 3 hours west of Upper Darby.

Ever since I was a little kid I always thought of becoming a streetcar trolley driver but don't live in an area where they have them. I wonder if anyone ever hijacked one of these.

That's not Germantown. Germantown is in the city. the Norristown Highspeed Line runs totally outside the city limits.
