The Ceiling Hydro-Pneumatic Bike Rack: simple innovative, suited to any kind of garage and any kind of bycicle.
Once the bike is loaded and securely attached in a simple and quick way, a slight upward hand push activates the lifting system of the flat-bike-lift that takes it safely and automatically into the horizontal position against the ceiling.
By a simple downward hand traction, flat-bike-lift takes it back to the vertical position, ready to be unloaded and used again. The idle upstroke is automatic and low-speed driven.

I was very nervous putting my brand new beach cruiser on this rack. kzfaq.infoUgkxG6JIgwJhur8_Rg8UeQ3EmePzi_wSncL8 But after reading many reviews I decided to get this one and take a chance. When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...

We do not have a video showing the installation procedure, but you may download the installation manual (homepage>footer) and have a look. The product comes pre-assembled and most of our customers say it's not difficult to install it (about one hour).

Any one else have problems with the pneumatic pistons ? Am assembling now but the back one doesn't even move when i apply pressure to it. Is this normal ? Any help appreciated

Hello Jody, this is normal. Please do not try to compress the gas spring by hand, it's impossible, too strong. Please follow steps 43-45 of the downloadable assembly instructions : flat-bike-lift.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/flat_bike_lift_user_guide_09_15_OE.pdf you find on the homepage, footer. So : connect the gas spring to the "arm" of the lift, selecting the right position according to the weight of your bike, and then simply use the lift as shown in the video. Do not compress the gas spring, connect it to the "arm" and use the flat-bike-lift.
