It’s a shame that eating healthy breaks your wallet while eat like crap is so affordable. 💸🙁

Seriously. The biggest lie fitness people say is eating healthy cab be cheaper. Well sure if you're eating out and getting fast food all the time lol. But then I think I have to balance the cost with cost later( in healthcare costs,etc..). So I think even switching a few things is a great start for us!
@THEGAMINGHELP101
@THEGAMINGHELP101 4 жыл бұрын
The thing is that growing organic is more costly than growing non-organic so they have to pace the cost to the consumer. Also don't think farms are all big rich farms that should be able to take the extra cost because most farms are just family-run farms that don't make that much money anyway.
@jasong6011
@jasong6011 4 жыл бұрын
It is expensive but I break it down per meal. For example vital farms pasture raised organic eggs, $6 a dozen. This morning I made 3 eggs, 3 pancakes with a yogurt cup. All healthy(and Bobby approved items) I'll say it came out to maybe $4 for the whole meal. If I went out to my local diner like I always used to do, it would probably be double that. Another tip is start small. I started switching out a few items at a time so I got used to spending a little more on less food at whole foods versus my everyday store. Also meal prep is a great option. I meal prep my dinners on Sunday(for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) and then on Wednesday(for Thursday Friday Saturday). That way I know exactly what I need to buy at the store to keep costs down.

It can be, but it’s worth it. Think about what else you are spending your money on. I am sure there are some things that you can cut back on or prioritize. In my opinion, what you put in your body is super important. Make some cutbacks or some adjustments on how you are spending and what you are spending it on. Some items you do want premium, but some you do not. If you do some research and some homework, you will find that it is not expensive as you think. On this journey of health and quality foods, you will find good deals and certain ways to make things work without breaking the bank. 💪💪. And keep listening to Bobby, this dude rules!!

I know for me personally being a type 1 diabetic for the last 20 years, paying the money now for actual food is going to save a lot more money than I would have payed before too long from the health conditions I was about to start having. And I just feel a lot better and have a lot better cognitive ability.

I eat fairly clean, I enjoy Lindt 85%. Even my 11 year old enjoys it, not too bitter. They use real vanilla and Demerara sugar. Demerara has a lower GI than most other sugars and in 4 big squares (40g) it's only 5g of sugar! 9 net carbs. I usually have 2 squares, 4.5 net carbs, and that satisfies my sweet tooth, unless it was one of those days.

I’m making my own snack now. Energy balls. I just throw all my ingredients in a food processor and it’s very quick. Soak my dates for 10 min in warm water and drain and place in the processor about a cup and then I use 1/2 cup of unsweetened peanut butter. A scoop of collagen powder a cup of sprouted oatmeal and some dark chocolate chips and some ground flax and blend. If it won’t bind and too dry I add a little splash of almond milk but very small amount. Scrape out into a bowl and place in the refrigerator for 30 min so the oatmeal gets soft. I put on rubber gloves and roll into balls and place in a sealable container and place back in the refrigerator overnight. I will eat 3 for breakfast with a coffee at work. Quick and easy breakfast at work. Reminds me of a Larbar. This recipe gets you about 30 energy balls. I also have a container of ground up pecan’s and almonds which I will toss in. Just kinda do what you want with different ingredients.

Correction: Please DO NOT RECOMMEND chocolate chips or any chocolate candy with soy lecithin. Lilly's has Soy Lecithin which is terrible for your gut health. And what the hel* is non GMO erythritol? Is erythritol a whole food ingredient found in kitchens across America? No! It's a processed chemical additive. If you're going to have sweetened anything you may as well stick with cane sugar rather than sugar chemicals created in a lab including Stevia. The BEST option is to make your own chocolate chips out of 70% cocoa bars and sweeten it with either maple syrup or syrup that you make from mangos on your stove top.

The consumer reports came out with the most toxic chocolates for heavy metals like lead and cadmium, Hershey's high-end Brand chocolate Lily's chocolate was the highest of all tested. No more Lily's chocolate Hersheys high end brand of chocolate for me. Surprisingly ghirardelli's chocolate was rated to be the least toxic. Still carrying the heavy metals though, just the least of all the big brand names, stunning

Ive discovered that cutting all refined sugar ( except what's naturally occurring in fruit ) has totally turned those inferno hot sweats every 20 minutes into almost none at all. Any truth to this? It works for me curious as to what u recommend. ( Even a tic tac triggers one, I read somewhere that your stomach controls hormones) I also quite eating the list of food triggers for eczema which I had severe cases of on my hands, and SUCCESS. I wish that I never medicated and listen to what I already knew : 6 hours after I ate all of those Foods I'd wake up with itchy swollen bubbled up hand and the doctor refused to agree with me it was something that I was eating. She a top Dr gave me a cream and sent me on my way. No dairy, tomatoes, soy, tree nuts, and gluten, and my skin is the best all over my body that its ever been. I'm in great shape like I'm 30! I am a vegetarian but I have in the last month read all my labels and completely overhauled my kitchen to be organic, no gmo and low to no sugar. I still say grains because I can't digest lactose so my diet is pretty restrictive anyway, mostly vegan. I wanted to say thanks you because my mom fasting blood sugar went from 106 which is prediabetic to 80 which is completely normal. I have been fighting diabetes off and making those changes helped so much. Also I don't get hypoglycemia anymore. I used to have to eat to prevent feeling sick, now I can go a while between eating and I directly connect that to taking the natural labors out of my food, drinks and vitamins. Can't thank you enough. You have made me much healthier and going to the market doesn't seem overwhelming snymore. It's pretty cut and dry what I can and can't eat. Changing our rice this week to wild rice. I'm sure this will just further help my blood sugar.

I don't eat a lot of sweets, but I do occasionally snack on Lili's dark chocolate chips, I used to get the chocolate bar but found the chocolate chips to be cheaper per once. And I enjoy making hot cocoa using cacao powder and maple syrup. And if I'm really in the mood for a treat I make my own chocolate bars with cacao powder, coconut oil, and maple syrup. All that said, I actually don't eat chocolate all that often, as much as I love it, I had to cut way back because I'm super sensitive to caffeine and it was trigger nerve pain flare ups. I went from one serving a day to one serving a week, sometimes one every other week. Chocolate is the only source of caffeine in my diet.

Fran Barbuto Fran, please don’t do it! A powder is not a meal. They were designed mainly for people who are chronically ill or dying and cannot consume food. Please eat real food without substitutes like powders, or it could adversely affect your health. Plus, these powders have a lot of protein, which, with a regular diet, could put excess strain on your kidneys (as I learned the hard way) :-(( Many of these powders are contaminated with heavy metals, and those can go directly in the brain, ultimately affecting mental and physical health. You can research this and Newsweek even had an article in it. So, please be aware of the potential health dangers with powders. Take care.

I bought a Lindt 90%dark chocolate bar and also a Lilly sugar free one and a new one called Alter eco 90% cacao. Preferred the lilly and Lindt. Although the latter tasted kind of bitter and had 2 grams of sugar in 3 squares. I usually have 1 square a day. Sometimes I like a bitter edge to the chocolate though.

Please do a video on sugar substitutes. I'm curious to see what you think of Erythritol as it's made of corn (GMO) or wheat and mostly industrially fermented. Curious how we find non-GMO Organic Erythritol that is naturally fermented. I also cannot tolerate Erythritol. Thanks for all your work on these videos we watch one whenever we can.

My sister has a recipe that I follow when I want a nut butter cup. I melt chocolate. Put it in a cupcake cup. Then I mix my favorite nut butter with maple syrup or coconut sugar. I put that on top of the solid chocolate in the cupcake cup centered, so when I put more chocolate on top of it, it will go over the sides of the nut butter mix. Each time put it in the to harden. Just have enough mix for the nut butter and to melt your chocolate for the bottom and top layer. They are so good! 😋

Hot Chocolate doesn't need some fancy recipe or some pre-mixed junk-in-a-jar: hot water, cocoa to taste, liquid stevia to taste. (I also put in a little vanilla or almond extract). Top with a little heavy cream (I shake the bottle until it thickens up). Mocha: use coffee instead of hot water, or use a little instant coffee granules (I use organic decaf). Cocoa dosn't dissolve in water; it is suspended, so stir it a few times during drinking. Enjoy!

Jack Jones I was thinking about that, too. I mean, that’s kinda crazy prices for organic nut/seed spread. So if you buy some nuts that you like and make a recipe, voila’, far less expensive than $13 (and you can what you like). I suppose you can control the amount much better for your personal use by adjusting the recipe. My Sprouts used to have a grinder folks could access to make their own peanut butter, but it became a big mess because people did not know how to stop it when their containers were full!

I make homemade hot chocolate with Navitas cacao powder (they screen for lead and cadmium). I use generous amount in a cup, add boiling water (glass bottled Mountain Valley spring water) and stir to dissolve chocolate. Add 1/2 and 1/2 to make it creamy. Also use unsweetened almond milk and sometimes a sprinkle of ginger 🥰. If you don’t use dairy, try a different milk. When I stopped using sugar, cravings for sugary things disappeared. That made it easy to have less sugary, more chocolaty drink that we love. Glass bottled water is costly. My doctor recommended it. Can get 5 gallon glass bottles. No plastic taste. Save on doctor bills with healthy choices as best I can 🌺 No-plastic spring water improves taste of coffee, smoothies… as well.

So I thank you for all the research you guys have done for us about what’s good for our bodies. 👏
