I love trying new triggers and over time have bought a couple Bix'N Andy, TriggerTech Diamond and Flavio triggers. This isn't a 'this one's best' kind of video but here's some impressions of mine about them. Bix n Andy uses ball bearings the problem wasn't cleaninliness it was the balls would indent and hang up. They put harder steel balls in them and fixed the issue. I've had mine on my br rig for 3 years with no issues . Just got a whisper for a new br rig they have the lightest upward sear pressure of all triggers on the market. The only way to get lighter is with 90 ° sear

I have never heard anyone complain about 4 oz being too heavy?? I feel 1 oz might be a little dangerous. if you breathe on it , it will probably go off.

Dad and I have gone entirely to TT Diamonds on our rifles. Absolutely love them and have had no issues yet in the Wyoming wind and dust. We shoot ELR with them set at 7 oz and turn them up to 1.5-2#s for hunting season. I have had a lot of issues with Jewel triggers when they get dusty, to the point that I no longer trust them and will not have one in my rifles. Loved the video John!

Funny. The only triggers I’ve seen go down from getting dirty in nrl matches were trigger techs diamonds twice. It’s a small sample size but just for what it’s worth trigger techs are not invincible.

it would be VERY interesting, for me, at least, to see how these things actually work, how they get the low trigger weight and good release?? You mentioned jewels, ball bearings?? Is there anywhere where a curious person can see what goes into these devices?? Thanks, Mr. F-Class :-)

It’s pretty tough to see inside of them in terms of finding schematics or drawings. But if you go to most of the manufacturers websites or just Google it.you can find cleaning suggestions which will show inside.

Q re: shooting a 1 ounce trigger. You talked about placing your finger on the same place of the trigger blade every time. I have shot some 4 ounce triggers and I do not see how you can touch a 1 ounce trigger to know where you are located without actuating/releasing the trigger. Could you please comment on your technique? Thanks.

It's a good question. I can tell you first off that for me, a 1oz trigger feels like a 1lb trigger having shot on them for a while. I've gotten behind some other guns that have 3-4oz triggers and it feels like forever until the trigger breaks. I can put my finger on the shoe without breaking a shot but admittedly it's something you grow into. As I was learning how to shoot a light trigger I often found myself floating my finger just in front and gradually started touching it more until I was comfortable that I wouldn't accidentally fire. A buddy of mine puts a small screw block on the side of his gun to hand his thumb on to keep his hand alignment the same every time on light triggers. Hope something here helps answer your question.

Hello, I have a BnA Comp trigger now and have had to send it back to get cleaned and ball bearings polished. If the BnA trigger fits in my 1k rifle now, will the Flavio also fit in my rifle or will the Flavio need modified ? Also, Will I need a different trigger hanger than what I am using for the BnA? Thank you Sir.

While I can’t guarantee 100% I can tell you that the Flavio is completely interchangeable with the B&A in every rifle I’ve seen. Anything the Bix fits the Flavio fits. I’m still shooting the Flavio and love it.

Guys, I'm new to rifle actions using trigger hangers. Once installed in the hanger on the pins, should the trigger body have any movement side to side? But once the bolt is cocked everything is solid, then after the shot the play is back?
@FClassJohn
@FClassJohn 2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the trigger to some degree but there's always going to be a little movement until the trigger is cocked. That's true with or without a trigger hanger. My Triggertech, Flavio and BA have all wiggled just a bit when de-cocked but are tight as a drum once cocked. Hope that helps answer the question.

I'm left handed and greatly prefer 2 stage triggers, do I have options other than Bix'N Andy or Tubbs T7T? I've not seen or heard much on the latter which is worrisome in and of itself, so was probably going to go with a Bix'N Andy. But since this video is a few years old I figured I'd ask

@FClassJohn

@@DanielReyes-hz1qk as far as I know, all of their triggers are ambidextrous. You simply unscrew the safety and switch it to the other side.
