That was a smooth extract. Btw when it comes to multiple operators moving through a closed breach, you can tell which one will be the breacher by the colour of their breach icon, The one opening the door will have a white icon on a black background where as everyone else will have a blue icon on a blue background. So on this mission, Drummer was the designated breacher while your intended pointman was fili.

I think it would be really cool there was a mode that makes building just a black mass and you only know where walls and doors are as you actually look at them. So you are actually going to these structures mostly blind as to what the layout is like causing you to adapt on the fly as you gather information.

For the entrances, no one will go through the door until the main entrance action has been completed (the main action is the white-black-blue), the blue actions are secondary and are only executed if the main one fails

Great run, though you got super lucky when you went to extract the VIP. Your CYAN man was pieing the vip door through the wall instead of looking into the room through its entrance where he stood. So damn lucky! Such an OOF moment, there!

I don't know if they have added the talent tree or doctrine tree where if you level up you can use points to permanently improve your rangers on certain skill sets but I want to hear your insight on this once they add it.

I've been binging this channel for a while now and I've developed an interest in urban warfare and CQC. Are there any good books or materials on these topics? I find these games so awesome for some reason and I'd really love to learn more

You can start with the publications of the American army yourself. Most are UNCLASSIFIED and contain useful information. In Army Publishing Directorate (APD), look for the "publications" tab and inside it, "Doctrine and Training". I think FMs, ATPs and ATTPs will contain the information you want, so look for something related to urban combat and CQBs. But if you want something more specific there are several books on the topic, and I recommend 3: Tactical Manual - Small Unit Tactics by Max Velocity; From Alpha to Omega and From Insertion to Extraction, these last two by Craig R. White. Although these last 2 focuses on airsoft, he teaches real tactics and techniques used in CQB for those who like to practice airsoft with realism, and he himself was a policeman himself. You find these 3 books on Amazon in PDF. I learned a lot and use that knowledge in Doorkickers 2 too. I am not aware of other books and sources, but I find it difficult as a civilian to obtain more information about CQB beyond the means I have cited, since only becoming a Special Forces Operator to learn more. But for anyone who is an enthusiast on the subject and likes to apply this knowledge in realistic games, like ARMA 3, it is already a field day :)

@@alphadhdv455 He goes through a breakdown of the space, what things he sees and how that changes his approach, etc. Next, he plans out sections (and he can add names to key points, like "explosive entry" or "exfil" in the vids above.) Then, an end stamp for "replay". I'd very much be in favor of this, personally.

Forgive me if I missed it in your explanation, but a few quick questions - -Why did you not clear the side rooms after you cleared long? I realize it's more time, but 'clearing' could have been opening the rooms and throwing three grenades in per room. -If you were worried about hostage safety/the hostage being killed, what about blowing the charge, holding that single door, and using two men to clear each side room? - How do you judge if a door is OK to walk a guy past? I always worry it's gonna open at that moment and he's gonna get shot in the back.

I see that you wanted to get a ranger to do another action immediately after throwing a frag, and had some trouble. A tip that works for me: after the grenade is in the air, pause the game, right-click trooper and select Cancel Action. it will clear the grenade path and projected area of effect, but will free the ranger to start another action without waiting for the grenade to explode.

Flawless security... not. The top right room wasn't cleared and everyone had their backs to it on the way out. And you exposed the VIP to an uncleared room (which allowed him to become a range target). It was a good try, ingenious wall breach, and I love your work. Let's just stick to the facts though, the only way to grow.

Really uncomfortable with how you handled that big dark room on the upper right. You prepped it with a grenade on your way out, but forgot all about it once your VIP almost got smoked from the lower room. You left your guys facing the shop front (which turned out to be a really good thing) but you left the lower of the two silhouetted against the door way for anyone in that room to shoot at. Awesome job all considered though. :)

I have a question; how realistic is it that going into these missions, you have detailed floor plans, including furniture, etc.? Surely IRL, there would be no way to know exactly what's behind a door before deploying the team. Should the devs add a harder difficulty option where all room details like furniture or inner walls and doors are hidden in the fog of war and are only revealed once an operative looks that way? How would that change your tactics when setting up for a mission or how you adapt to a newly developing situation?

Hey is it just me or does the first door kickers have many issues with timing options and tactical limitations. Like you set a breach and you can't prepare nades through the breach cuz there is a "obstacle" in the way? Are there mods for the first DK?

You are not using game mechanics properly. In order to clear sector you gotta ingage icon "thumb up". This way teammate will make sure all threats eliminated before proceeding to the next task.
