I've done all campaigns already, so I'm trying the "one-man" challenge, where you complete the entire game with only 1 deployed dude/mission. I can tell you, I have been trying this mission for about a week now and I JUST did it. Holy cow this one's hard.

If you think this is the hardest map, oh boy, wait until you get to the Handover.

I think the best part about this is just dealing with murphy’s law. You definitely didnt expect the game to interpret you throwing a flash over the door as you OPENING THE DOOR to flash, and still the plan went off without a hitch 👌😂

Pretty sure if you are next to a corner, you can use spy cameras to look around the corner. It’s not limited to doors.

That “spy” camera’s called a borescope, used by both mechanics and plumbers for looking through tight spaces or long lengths of tube respectively

This was pretty intense. I'd have smoked a circle around the hostage from the get go tho... Deal with the immediate threats quickly and snatch and grab while I'm still under the smoke screen.

Can confirm. Wand is real called a snake cam or under door camera. Used to peer under doors that don’t reach the bottom all the way, and while rare to be used, it’s more often documented to be used in the Indian special forces. The reason who it’s not used as often is because there are better ways of seeing into a building than that already being used.

This is one of my favorite doorkickers episodes. Three stars, first attempt, and he didn't even use all 8 Rangers and still got it done. Amazing

This map took me so many attempts before I cracked it. Eventually breached will a full team on the southern side, but DMRs on either side in the open corners, breached, smoked and flashed and formed a perimeter around the hostage. Then organised my breaching team into two 3 man squads and cleared both buildings simultaneously with DMRs covering the southern sides and mid. Extremely hard for beginners and super satisfying when you get that 3 stars at the end. Great work devs and great work on the video!

Not sure that you'll see this comment on a 2-year-old video, but I wanted to let you know that I've been thoroughly enjoying your Door Kickers 2 content. Especially that you're explaining your thought process and that you've been keeping the gameplay grounded in reality and not relying too much on it being a game. I've learned so much from it and hope to learn even more. I was a bit surprised when at 1:35 you didn't mention the room north of the storage room. To me, it has the signature of a cell since it has a locked caged door and only a mattress to sleep on. I think that's where the 2nd hostage might have been located. Keep up the amazing content and I'll definitely have a look at your other videos once I'm through with this playlist.

The camera silhouette can be found at any hardware store as an inspection camera. $20-400 depending on standalone, attachment or remote turning.

On my playthrough, I just went for the realistically impossible option and threw grenades all around the hostage but perfectly aligning the radius so the hostage doesn't die, but everyone else does. But your plan works too.

For those wondering about the camera for peaking under doors, their called endoscopic cameras and you can get one on amazon for about $60. Also used to inspect tight spaces like the inside of walls without ripping the wall open.

I forgot I could peek under the door, but I ran shooters to each corner, tossed a gazillion of nades over the wall at random locations where there might have been enemies, and then smoked the whole yard and kept smoking while one guy ran in and got the hostage. Pulling him out the enemy came after and got picked off as they did, while I infiltrated with one operator from the upper left corner, getting the last hostage, in my case from the left side building.

Something which may help out in the future when things get hectic: you can toggle slow-motion with L.

So funny that you forgot mid-planning why you stationed 2 top and forgot to take over left bottom tower with the remaining 2. But again it's proof that you playing blind. And how amazing you were being successful even you didn't fully deploy.

I work with law enforcament, we use a mirror in my country, a tiny rod with some mirrors, but we almost never use It. We just flood the buildings with a lot of people.

What’s interesting is the long and stressful thought process that goes into a few dangerous minutes of actual execution of strategy.

This was also the most challenging one I tried, up there with Fergie's surprise. I equipped M16A4s, GLs, and wall charges. Blew holes for every man, lobbed 40mm, and mopped up. Few casualties, no more than 2. Total lockout. Edit: after I applied some frag and bang over the wall strat after I watched this video, I'll say this has become dramatically easier. Time everything right, and handhelds, wood breach, and 4 corner DMR peek can mop up the entire outside force in 10 ish seconds after committing, and 15 more to wait for squirters. Then mop up buildings the usual way, or maintain eyes on building exits, free hostage, bolt.

LOOOOL Nice. I think in my first (successful) attempt send four snipers, one to each tower and let them clear the inside from there, while the other four throw a ton of grenades in the middle :D

not gonna lie when i did this i tried so hard to breach to get that first hostage saved. then i remembered "when in doubt Frag Out" and layered frags all around the hostage and killed every enemy around him. worked like a charm

Man if that one guy didnt open the door and all the flashbangs were able to go off before you blew the walls, it wpuld have gone so much smoother

A quick tip. You can use smoke to delay executioner. What I did for this mission was popping smokes all over the courtyard. Then using smoke to position my troops. Throw flash and nades before the smoke clears. 3 stars.

I threw a hand grenade at the hostage taker, laid down smoke, and just went in for the hostage at a dead run. While my guy was grabbing him, I laid more smoke, and then had them run right back to the door. Sort of the 'laughing like daffy duck' solution

Actually this map is simple. I deployed 8 soldiers with 4 grenades each, on the south side. I threw 32 grenades over the fence in the key locations (explosions with the yellow area don't move the hostage) After that I break through the gate and kill only a few terrorists left.

Those spy cameras do exist. My grandfather used one to check our floor vents (for the ac). Although I think the game exaggerated their size, as the one we used the camera was about a 1/4 of a inch

I just used a ton of bangers over the wall and took a wall charge on the main gate beneath the hostage, then took them out until I could clear the comp. That set of missions is awesome

A stethoscope cam is good to see in places that you don't or can't put your head in. You can get a CAT phone with one.

This map got me so many times and you cleared it first try.... well done !

Really fun to compare your strategy to how I eventually cleared it. That sandbag position in the lower-left was trouble so I ended up with a secondary squad starting up top and moving to the left outside the compound (with a suppressed gun pie-ing that northwest guard tower to not alert the rest) to put a wall charge behind and take that position but having a single Marksman do it is such a better idea ha.

Holy shit, thats one wild shootout. And man... thank god, there arent epileptic hostages in these games. 🤣

Very nice work on the mission. Under door cameras do exist. I do not know to what extent they're used by tactical teams but the tech is available in the market. Before camera equipment became compact enough regular mirrors were used. Like small dentist mirrors but on telescopic, pen sized handles.

The spy camera is just a plumbers inspection scope - you can pick a cheap one up for £30 or a fancy one for £3000

The "spy" camera is common in working on cars lol. we use it to inspect hard to get to areas

The spy cam is a real thing. It's hard af to use tho and you need to be really careful moving it about. A wriggling lil worm can still attract attention

Pairs: -nades and 40mm the buildings with impunity- The other hostage: (probably in the building) survives

You got it first attempt with six guys. My eight guys where blown up multiple times by grenades, rocket propelled grenades. they are shot to pieces and last but not least, every time i got as far as even scratching the gates with a charge, the Hostage in the courtyard was killed immediately. it took me more attempts than i care to admit to get one star, let alone get 3. and since i got that one star, i just pretend this level don't even exist.

My plan for this map is best described as “Guns, grenades, and wall charges”

That frag over the hostage was dicey

You can turn on dead bodies in a ini file, I find it fun to see the trail of bodies that my operators leave.

This had me stressed and im just chilling on my couch watching sombody else do all the planning lol

I did not realise you could spy-cam that gate (it didn't seem to let me in some previous mission), nor that you could throw grenades over the fence. Both of those would have helped XD
