How often and for how long, would you say to do this? I want my kitties off of Revolution...They haven't gone out for over a year ..and no other pets. Somehow, fleas are still around the house or on them. I vacuum, and flea comb often so we have good control now but they always appear as soon as I stop the Revolution. I'd rather not use the Diametrious Earth so ty for this! Denise.

thank you, Dr. Jones! i use feverfew for migraines. i wonder if i could put the steeped tea in a spray bottle and use that way? it's for a cat. Also, for cat lovers, i used to boil some lemons in a pot of water, cool and strain any solids, put this in a spray bottle, use it on carpets, even bed, and sometimes, the cat - who hated it, and me lol. it really works. i got rid of an early home flea infestation with lemon water. what do people do if the infestation has gone on longer and might be out of control?

Did he say if the Feverfew is ok to put on wounded spots too? What do y'all think? I know he said it helps to kill the fleas but will it hurt her on the red soar skin?

Oh, and buying a flea comb TOMORROW, lol! You are right, such obvious things...but the 1 cat and 2 dogs we've had as furrkids never had flea issues, hence, my search to find you. My little love of a cat got out one night - all night long. Shocked we didn't notice but we didn't and there you have it. She does like to steal outside but we allow her to stay out perhaps 5 minutes. I think we'll have to reconsider that or use lots of Fever Few. Thanks again.

Sensible great "free" advice as always. When my Goldie was still with me she really suffered from flea bite infections as she got older. I am not comfortable feeding my animals insecticides either. I heard a tip that suggested I scour a large orange on the peel side , watching out for her sores as they might sting. I rubbed it all over her and gently brushed it thru. Yeehaw it worked for Ginger. Give it a try friends. Could have something to do with the citronella. While I'm here Dr. I wanted to know if I can purchase your book and supplements in a store or does it have to be on line. l don't like making purchases on line as I'm not trusting of who can access what. What can I do for my Old Husky? with his VERY thick undercoat it's Impossible to use a Flea comb! He also has Lupus and Allergic to Everything!! Having a terrible reaction to the Flea bites as well! I'm concerned about using DE with his respiratory problems-what do you suggest? I've tried everything! And YES I;ve treated all the other animals (another Husky and two cats) and the house-vacuum 2Xs a day, flea traps, baking soda +salt sprinkled everywhere! Great! I've watched so many videos tonight and yours makes the most sense - be proactive. We found 1 dead flea and flea dirt on our cat when we took her to the vet (she is evidently allergic to the flea/bite and has been scratching herself). He took care of the next 14 days, and wrote a prescription for a pill to give her monthly, says it's better than the liquid stuff. She is healthy and perhaps this is because we've never HAD to treat her for anything with all kinds of chemicals! TYVM!!!

Hi there, I found this video while looking for ways to help us with our cats and fleas. Okay so.. were from the UK I have two cats, one short haired (Smokey) one quite fury and fluffy (Jerry). Both cats are in-door cats too. Anyway....I am at my wits end. We had quite a bad flea problem about 6 months ago, My son was always getting bit it was horrible, he was only him that got bit too. So I Flea them both with a spot on then a few days later used the tablet form one ( that kills any adult fleas within 24-48 hours) I then flea bombed every room in my place, Then went on a mad cleaning spree. Washed EVERYTHING on the hottest setting, cleaned everything, steam mopped all my floors, under the couches, down the side of them, everywhere. I did this every 3-4 days as well as brushing my cats too. I've done this pretty much religiously ever since except I stopped using the tablets and don't brush them as much. Anyway the last couple of weeks (even though I'm treating them) the cats esp Smokey have been scratching ALOT. I brushed over them both last week and found NO flea poop. Anyway my one lovely little cat (The short hair) Smokey Is having abit of a horrible time at the moment and he is covered in scabs :-( we thought it was the cats fighting, cuz they do get abit rough. Lately though my smokey has been looking rather sorry for himself and the scabs have gotten worse, so much so they are weeping :-( I examined his fur and saw a flea scurry past. I was gutted. Feel like all my time, money and efforts have just failed. I'm spending LOADS on flea treatments. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

My cat is a shop cat and doesn’t go outside. I use a product called Talstar to treat my floors in the shop. You spray it in cracks and crevices and a few lines in the middle of the floor. Once it has dried it is safe for cats. In dry years it’s good for 3 months. Wet years I do it once a month. My cat never has fleas unless I forget to spray.

I pet my little dog at least once per week or more to check for fleas. I'm against the flea collar & the monthly flea treatment due to risk of neurological problems or what not. However yesterday I found 8 fleas on him. I gave him a flea bath right away that killed most of them & I used the flea comb to find the rest. Now he has red bumps all over his body. I don't know what to do. I don't know if it's allergies or whatnot. I would like to treat this myself at home. What tea did u use?

That doesn't look like it makes enough to "thoroughly soak" that great big dog! I have 4 cats and we are amidst a serious flea problem. I wouldn't think that would be enough even for the cats. Seems like you would need to make a lot more. Maybe a little goes a long way?

It's also good to lay down a white sheet or towel under the pet so you see the fleas....they seems to be attracted to light colors so wear white socks and that also helps you see if any fleas have infested yours carpet....Good Luck

Fever Few is great but I also heard lavender and tea tree oil works on the bites and repeals fleas.....is that correct? Front line is so expensive and scary to risk on my dogs and cats, but fleas in my home of six dogs and three cats would be a NIGHTMARE. I can't afford to let them get out of control for all our sakes.

Im allergic to cat fleas...but dog fleas dot bother me. IMO, cat fleas seem way more aggressive and also seem to breed faster. They're harder to get rid of, and they seem happier to be on the carpet and furniture than dog fleas, which seem to stay mostly on the dog. If they all come from outside, and jump on the animal...do they 'mutate' somehow and become either dog or cat fleas, once they've landed on an animal? Fleas are horrid little creatures that seem to serve no other purpose than to cause misery and to breed. Unless they do have some environmental use I dont know of?
