Hint. When your shopping in the markets bring socks in your bag. You can slide themover some of your breakable finds so they don’t bang against other things in your bag.

When I went to college at American university of Rome we took our colorblind friend, Ron, to this market. He chose horrible combinations of vintage clothing…we didnt know he was colorblind. I got a huge leather belt that is timeless and I still have it, I also got an old leather Swiss mail bag purse that I still have.

Hi Laura ! The Blind Folded Lady is called Donna Fortuna. Translated is Lady Fortune ! It ‘s something that Italians and some Europeans love ! You can find her as a charm as a pendant or charm bracelet. it is usually n gold with a blue blindfold. Great finds by the way !! Thanks for sharing…Lorraine (Malta)🇲🇹😁🤗

Loved your thrifting days out, especially in Rome! My husband and I spent our 27th wedding anniversary in Rome! Loved it! We stayed literally a few shops up the street from Trevi Fountain. Had the best gelato place there! Lol! Loved the night time entertainment on the street, shops and restaurants! Definitely would go back!

This video felt like home to me 🇮🇹 The blind folded lady is interesting-I believe she is signora giustizia (lady justice). My nonna willed to me a long necklace , an heirloom- it has a gorgeous pendant (24k gold) and is this lady justice who is blindfolded and the pendant is a medallion. There are only two in the world and I have one, as it was custom made, requested by my grandfather for my nonna because she just HAD to have it 😂😂! Anyway, long story short she is blindfolded because justice should be unbiased and is “not to be based on a person's appearance or other outside influences.” ❤

42:51 That's the Dea Bendata in bronzo (bronze blindfolded goddess or lady fortune if you prefer). I think my mum has one somewhere. If the statue holds weight balances it would most likely represent Lady Justice.
