Stevie is the only woman who has been inducted in to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame TWICE (as a solo singer & with Fleetwood Mac). She is in her 70s now. She is truly cherished by generations of music fans.

She dedicated to her dad that night but the song was written about Lindsey, the man playing guitar on stage with her at a point when their relationship was in a bad way. It’s beautiful that they could stand there and sing that together and play it all those years later. Stevie is a treasure! Lindsey too.

Omg!!!!!! Fleetwood Mac yessssss!!!! I watch this particular video all the time. Stevie Nicks is old enough to be Miley's grandmother lol but I can understand the comparison even though I'm not really a Miley fan. I LOVE this song. There is so much history in this band. But they have been together since the 70's. Lindsey Buckingham is playing the guitar and that is her ex boyfriend. Silver Springs is another live video I watch a lot. She wrote that song about their relationship and Lindsey Buckingham plays on that song with her too and personally I still see a lot of love between these two....some people say it's for show but I don't believe that. I think it is the live version of Silver Springs where they hug, hold hands and he kisses her on top of her head at the end of the song and I cry every time lol!!! I guess because I have a ex boyfriend where we had the love but for many many reasons we just couldn't make it work. Stevie never married or had kids just like me. I think Lindsey said in a interview he wanted to marry her but he wanted to have kids and she didn't if I remember correctly. These two had their own band before joining Fleetwood Mac. They were pretty young when they met so like I said they have a lot of history and drama....which makes for great songs LOL!!!

Stevie Nicks was singing about her father who had passed away. Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks are true legends. Fleetwood has so many songs that are wonderful and many of the songs sound so different from other songs on the same album. The Chain is good. But you can't go wrong with almost any of their songs.
@caps689
@caps689 8 ай бұрын
Stevie wrote it in 1974 when she had to decide whether to take up her father's offer to pay for her to finish college or stay with Lindsey and make music. She decided on the later and a month or so later Mick Fleetwood asked Lindsey to join his band and he said not without my partner. Stevie's father died in 2005 - more than 30 years later though she dedicated this song to him here in 1997 (she dedicates it to someone different every time). "I wrote it (Landslide) for Lindsey - for him, about him. It's dear to both of us because it's about us. We're out there singing about our lives." - Stevie Nicks (2004)

Stevie is magical. Thank you for doing this song as it’s one of my favorites because I used to sing it to my son as a baby when I would rock him to sleep…🥰 Miley just did a song with Stevie not too far back called Edge of Midnight & their voices work well together. I highly recommend you listen to Big Love by Fleetwood Mac from the live album The Dance (the video & song are absolutely amazing and it was more impressive seeing it in person). If you explore Stevie as a solo artist her duets are all stellar but I particularly enjoy Leather and Lace & would enjoy watching your reaction while listening to that or to Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.
