To be honest I always found the Wardens death more to be more depressing and gruesome than Benny’s, although Benny’s death was gruesome and would’ve been painful but that was hundreds of scarebs so it probably would’ve been quick but the Warden just had one little one that slowly crawled up his entire body probably eating whatever it could before getting to his brain and slowly feasting on that while the warden would’ve had no clue what was happening and inside him as he never saw the bug and him screaming for help but nobody coming and all he could do was soulessly scream due to the otherworldly pain of your brain literally being eaten on the inside while he’s still conscious

But the one thing is how did the Egyptians catch the scarabs?
@MrJordwalk5 жыл бұрын
According to the movie's script, the scarabs that the Egyptian poured into Imhotep's sarcophagus were harmless dung beetles and being sealed in the sarcophagus with him caused them to go hungry over time. They were forced to eat him because he was the only food available, but since he was cursed, the consumption of his flesh transferred the curse into them and this is how they became the flesh-eaters that they are throughout the rest of the movie.

Man, when you're watching the 2017 version of "The Mummy" (with Tom Cruise), you would say, "Man, I miss the scarabs." Yes, they should have brought them back as they were (some of) the scariest things in this 1999 classic. One of the reasons people hate this reboot is there weren't enough scares, as these scarabs scared us when we were kids. But have no fear, as there is an Easter egg that connects these two movies, and proves that Brendan Fraser's Rick O'Connell exists in the new Dark Universe and that Imhotep will inevitably return.
