I'm working so hard on structure. I'm not a "we have do this by this time" person. But I love that you said structured but flexible! I just want our days to flow. I did not grow up with any structure except for getting up for school. Learning how to do to routine is hard for me. I am also very naturally lazy, easily drawn to idle time and it has been a struggle. The Lord is working on me. My kids need mama to be on her game!!!! I am so thankful for your wisdom in this video. And you are beautiful btw! Blessings to you and your family 💕

Being a homeschool mom I always feel free. The other day while doing schooling with my daughter the room was spinning 😵‍💫 and my anxiety was truly so bad! I just didn’t feel mentally healthy laundry was piled, food wasn’t cooked, dishes wasn’t loaded and the home was a mess and I just said you know what I need a mental break and I took school off for a few days. And to be honest she’s so ahead educationally I didn’t feel stress for having those days. We all do it differently and as long as they are progressing while learning do you sweetie! ❤️

This is the first of your videos I have watched. Absolutely delightful. I like you sense of humor and I completely agree on the year round schooling. This is exactly what we do and for many of the same reasons. It means we can literally take a week off because the weather is gorgeous....or snowy.

We use routine and rythym rather than scheduling. Where we live seasonality has a HUGE effect on the course of our day and having rythym and routine allows us to accommodate that, where a strict schedule would not work for much of the year.

I am determined starting this year to collect resources that are "to the point" and inspiring to us and never go back... things that aren't heavy or extremely teacher intensive...and not let the other things confuse our learning moments and atmosphere. You have given me a lot to think about!

I’m coming over from Jill, one of my favorite people ever. Wow, you are amazing. Home schooling is a tremendous, rewarding, and dedicated job. Enjoyed your explanation of what you do. I’m a stay at home mom but didn’t home school when my kids were younger. Mine (a boy and a girl) are 27 and 24. But still my babies lol. I did love however doing homework projects with them. Coming over from Oglesby Ohana! I loved your video! You're voice is so calm and pleasant to listen to, and I love your routine. This was our first year doing homeschool (my son is at kindergarten level), and I think we may be a year-round family as well. We've gotten behind and had to play catch-up several times, and it's so stressful for everyone involved. Thank you for your time and sharing your schedule!!

Better stewards of our time!! Yes I know for myself I can sometimes not be a good steward of my time. I really thought about homeschooling this summer, and I chose not to, and yes I feel like it gets chaotic and pieces of life, consistency, and control gets spewed every direction and I feel like that’s when life gets out of control. So I am seriously thinking of reeling them back in. And even if we do bible, and reading. I also would love to see your evening routine.

My toddler and baby just got on the 2 hr nap block a month ago !!! It has been amazing too !!! I really don’t know what my next year homeschool schedule will look like 🙈!!! I think I am definitely going to try something new because what I did last year didn’t work lol ! Love hearing your about your homeschool flow !😊

So happy to have found your channel. When you say you homeschool year round do you take any breaks? Is your schedule 5days a week and weekends off I’m so interested in how we all do it differently. My daughter is very young but going to be introducing some light homeschool into our days. I’m leaning into the year round approach for the same reasons mainly flexibility.

I love how real and genuine you are. We are in our first year of homeschooling and it has been hard, because I don't have a good routine, I feel like. I am in prayer to find a good routine for my family that God wants for us.

@@PlanPrepPray For me, it is follow thru with the routine. I am hoping this coming school year will be easier since my kids have been out of a physical school building. We also have therapies outside of the home that still throw my school rhythm off even though they are the same time every week.
