Yeah that could be more interesting than the current Vg10 model. Should be of higher edge retention lower stainlessness type. There also seems to be a K390 version coming as a production run. Shouldn’t they release soon?

I plan on buying the new salt manix lightweight and maybe the salt Para 3 lightweight. I usually buy aluminum or g10 scales for my frn knives.

A few things I’ve also noticed on my light weight models, the blades don’t stay centered and have more side to side movement in the pivot. Also the back lock tension has weakened with time unlike my G10 models. I have also noticed that Spyderco seems to put thinner edges on their harder steels in general...

Thats not the case on my older lw models. Its some recent shenanigans in the QC. Yeah the thinner edges on the harder steels and sprint runs seem to be a thing

I wish the frn back-locks came with a steel backspacer! That’s why I dont like the native chief lightweight
