Yeah. I saw an eqs today and also didn't start. Engine didn't make a crank sound. Started rolling by itself with the engine off. Wont last a day

Loved these German barges when they came out in the 90s. So comfy, smooth, and imposing. Sadly M-B rust-proofing wasn't the best at the time so (at least here in the UK) most seem to have long ago rotted away. This one seems to have lasted better than most (though of course its harder to spot corrosion on a dark-coloured car) but looks as though lighting and rear hydraulics need attention before she can go back on the road. Hope she doesn't end up broken for the (virtually indestructible) diesel engine which is getting quite desirable now for use in other applications.

A way better rust condition MB's can be spotten in south European (I mean Iberia and Italy) where weather is much dryier and warmer than other regions of EU :)

Yea they had problems with bacteria in the paint destroying the rust proofing capabilities.

I noticed that here in the US. I live near the eastern Great Lakes and they still use salt on the roads. It seemed like Benzes from the 1980’s through the early ‘90’s would fair pretty well rust wise, but once the C class came, then the redesigned E class, that rust proofing just wasn’t as robust.

I once drove an old 1994 Benz C280, while in high school, back then. These older Mercedes cars are much more solid built! And it still shows to this day. When driven correctly, of course, you'll still be going on the road more than any new car on the street! Nostalgia! 😎

Happy new year. Another great car saved. My friend's dad had a late W124 and an very early W210 both with this engine. I thought they sounded great and were quite quick, even compared to the Volvo 850 2.5 10v he had before.

Flexiny try starting the gearbox in W mode in Mercedes Benz. It locks out first and starts in 2nd for less wheelspin

In my car I always start in third, as second spins the wheels too much even with a light touch on the pedal. However need high revs for third to avoid stalling.

Hi from uk mate 👋👍 first off all best in health wealth and happiness for 2023. Great start apart from losing its prime a bit seemed spot on for sitting a few days🤣👌 a shame she didnt rise tho I was hoping she would all way through but air/abc systems on mercs where the make or break of these cars parts where expensive then and worse now 😢 but the time sitting sounded like was running on all banks but I heard a slight lazy injector tick too but to be fair she did well in conditions with sticky from right brake to causing her to catch up on some revs and drifts 😉👌 thanks for your time be safe and see you soon 👍 👋

Miałem takiego w sedanie avangarde 3.0 td jakieś 10 lat temu, jeździłem tym do Danii, niezniszczalny sprzęt. A jak zrobiłem w czas blacharke stał się wieczny. Nie to co dziś plastikowe badziewia z silnikiem odkurzacza 🙈

you need to do the glowplugs and the inlet manifold is pissing smoke because it aint sealing at the down pipe. i got the exact same problem! i just managed to change 3 plugs 2 were broken and 1 is pretty much stuck and ill leave it till the summer to sort out. but she starts runs and drives so as long as she gets me through the winter its all good eh

hi your videos are great as always i grew up with mercedes and i love the old diesel models the w123 200d and the w124 200d my favorite models are cool if at some point something would come of it so w123 is still missing 124 do you have me on the channel yes But now what is noticeable about the W210 is that it is a little too deep in the back, I believe that the regulation does not work

Ez az indítás 2:22 nagyon tetszik, amikor igy hallani, hogy röffen már párat majd végül elkapja a fonalat és beröffen, utánna meg amikor tolatott ki , ( 5:38) mint valami mad max gèp, nagyon komoly hangja van, de maga a motor hangja is olyan jellegzetes, eltudnám halgatni szine egész nap, hát ez egy műszer szinte, nagyon jó. Ebbe minden hang alapja valódi alkatrészek által szűlt hang, nem hangszóróból jön. Na meg nem egy 3 hengeres porszívó zümmögés.

Wow that's great. Polish numbers :) I'm curious about the story of how this car got there. Was it bought from a Pole? He had to do a lot of kilometers going there. The car is in very good condition for its age and starts quickly. Thank you for a nice surprise and Polish accent :)

W210 does not have an air suspension. Only the wagon had an hydraulic self leveling at the back.

Wersja Avangarde tylną postojówkę szybko bym naprawił, albo ręcznym sterowaniem, albo gniazdem żarówki, ten model ma tą wadę, Widzę że film nagrywany w Estonii, ale coś Nivwo nie pracuje dobrze, tył wisi za nisko, coś nie tak z modułem do świec żarowych, bo cały czas pali się kontrolka świec, a tak to fajny Mercedes....
