@@svinche2 brother, there are many na om60X engines that are unopened with 400-500hp no problem. It is mind boggling. Of course changing the insides helps but usually there are no issues. Even with original na engines.

Был у меня такой только с турбиной. Мотор пушка тяга в нём 👍👍👍Надёжный очень 60 км ехал на бензине в место салярки. По сей день ходит мотор без капиталки💪

I have an s300td. When it's fuel tank was accidently dried, it was very hard to startup again. I even thought It has electrical issue, but the problem was in it's "technological" EDC pump. Very hard to get rid of air in the system. Problem solved by replacing intake and outtake each other and using external low pressure pump. Maybe my experience will be useful for someone.

Te starsze modele które pokazywałeś , lepiej zapalały po wielu latach stania . Ten to trochę taki gruz :))) Ale widzę że z czasem te diesel trochę się rozruszał i pod koniec pracował lepiej i już tak nie dymił jak na początku , a dymił tak jakby był już trup:))) Bardzo podobają mi się sprężyny z drewna :))) Super sprawa. Pozdrawiam

Om 606 lekko zapowietrzony ma potężny problem z odpaleniem. Ledwo odpala i bardzo kopci. Dokładnie tak jak ten na filmie. Dodatkowo przez budowę tego silnika gdy są niesprawne świece żarowe też ledwo odpala i bardzo dymi.

We had one of these come to the shop around 15 years ago. It looked like new but the owner got out holding a large coil spring in his hand and stated "This thing fell out of my car!" Looking underneath revealed the upper spring mount had rotted right off the body, despite the rest of the car being rust free. Wasn't this the model that destroyed Mercedes reputation of quality???

This degraded quality was due to the green idea introduced into manufacturing. This problem was already evident at the W124 facelift, where water-based varnishes were first introduced. Unfortunately, time has shown that they were not yet at the necessary level of quality. There was no other problem- the sheets were ok....

Der OM606 war ein Eisenschwein, der lief immer und ging nicht kaputt. Ich selber habe den OM611, also den Nachfolger weil ja auf CDI umgestellt wurde. Den E220CDI, auch der Motor wird die Karosserie deutlich überleben

At least the engine is running wlel, those 606s can be tuned to bowel-loosening levels of power, so worth hanging onto for another more intact car... :P
