There was a report from a high-tech Navy war ship when they were sailing through the Bermuda Triangle, they said the entire ship shut down, everything electrical, even wrist watches and flash lights didn't work. They were adrift for 24hrs, then all of a sudden, power came back on and they kept going. There was no explanation for it.

Reading these comments on people saying Send a Camera etc. There was a documentary about a guy doing research on this exact flight wanted to fly the same course as Taylors Flight 19. So he hired a pilot and to make things more interesting they both flew the same plane from 1945 the exact model, instruments, and technology that the pilots had in Flight 19. The Pilot flying the Avenger flew the exact same route using the same compass from 1945 and navigated the route specifically as it was planned out in 1945. Both the Pilot and the cameraman landed safely back in Ft. Lauderdale without incident or mishaps.

I wonder why they didn't check their heading by the position of the sun. No matter how messed up your compass is the sun still rises in the east and sets in the west. Late afternoon-evening you just point your nose towards the sunset.

I am not too sure, but my theory on what happened is that possibly the Bermuda Triangle doesn't always make people vanish, but only at certain times. A wild guess that I would say is that possibly because of the weather, it made the planes' engines go haywire and went somewhere, flying for infinity. I don't say that the pilots are alive, but maybe they might've died, but the weather caused the planes to fly forever, then vanishing into space. My second theory as a wild guess is that they might went into a weird time portal, and will arrive 1,000 - 1,000,000 years later into the future. But then again, these are 2 wild guesses on what I think happened, so don't make a huge argument or something over my theory.

It appears Taylor simply got disoriented when he saw an island in the Atlantic that looked exactly like a Florida Key island, so he assumed they'd somehow drifted over the Keys.

I think the Bermuda Triangle isn't really that big of a thing. Like it probably just has more of a magnetic charge that messes with the compasses causing them to crash into the ocean. We cant find them because the ocean is so deep.

This is what I don't get, where is the wreckage. You go to any battlefield in the pacific and you will find aircraft on the ocean floor. Many in excellent condition, except for the bullet holes and occasional torn off wing. And the torpedo planes and dive bombers of the era were built to be very resilient. Wildcats and Hellcats were not as durable as the Dauntless and Avenger, and you can find them shot down and turned into coral reefs after 70 years on the ocean floor. So why can't they find Flight 19. An Avenger Torpedo plane does not just disappear, not even after it has been shot full of holes by a Zero. So where are these guys?

Not sure why it's such a mystery they simply got lost and flew out to sea. They run out of fuel and ditched in the Atlantic ocean outside the Bermuda triangle. I could easily have thrown a couple hundred miles out to see where it be very difficult define stem especially since they didn't know where they were in the first place.

There is no mystery. Taylor became confused, thought the flight had made a wrong turn and was over the gulf when in reality they were still in the Atlantic. They then flew north and east trying to hit Florida when they needed to fly west. Two of the other pilots were heard arguing this with Taylor. Late in the flight, they were actually pinpointed through radio direction finding over the Atlantic, but the stations could no longer contact them. They flew until they were running out of gas and ditched in heavy seas and as we have so recently discovered, finding downed planes or even wreckage can be an impossible task in the ocean.
