As someone who's been absent from aviation since 2001, I'm impressed with thus setup!

Not sure if I’m more impressed by the avionics or a the super pretty pilot!

Awesome video. I fly H125’s for a living. Great platform and she did a great job explaining the flight controls and Avionics.

This video was super informative! I'd love for you to interview a pilot to see how he or she got to that position and what all he or she does.

I'm a sailor and all I kept thinking was ... my god those avionics look expensive. :p
@tobiasborchers20583 жыл бұрын
They are if you go on Garmin website there are some prices listed but if it were aftermarket I’d estimate 100.000-170.000 for the displays and integrated avionics then another 80.000-130.000 for the non integrated plus roughly 100.000 for the install

The 650s and 750s are indisposable assets. Very useful with pretty displays. Yeah, can be a bit shocking to see a little screen worth over 10Gs

@@dogboy0912 exactly. Glass PFDs are such a game changer. Looked at outfitting a dual G3X and with all labor it was around $25k

The helicopter tail number is written in the cockpit, top right, above the artificial horizon. If you blur it out at the beginning of the video you should do it there as well.
@solarissv7773 жыл бұрын
Also he might want to blur, the back of the pilot's helmet.

He posted the pilot on instagram so i think she's okay with her name being shown
@anthonypetrillo8413 жыл бұрын
He’s only moderately careful about hiding his employer’s info, but I think he’s said before he’s not that concerned about it. He just doesn’t want it to be obvious but isn’t going to meticulously comb through and redact everything.

i dont get it, its not like he's trying to save his dog from getting murdered by the ATF (they literally kill dogs), and they know everything anyway

Anthony is right. I only really care about not making my affiliations obvious for trolls. There are a ton of videos that give me away (if a red helicopter and grey uniform aren’t enough on their own lol)

I thought the dual Garmins were especially sweet. The GTN 650 is already very powerful, so having that with the 750 would be a dream. Those gps panels are some of the biggest SA builders you can have in the cockpit. Being able to have it do power calculations like hige/hoge and w+b is also pretty awesome. People may not realize but altitude and atmospheric conditions have a huge effect on rotary wing. No helicopter "likes" being at 5000ft. Idk what the civilian pathway to doing this looks like (well actually you probably just go get your commercial and build some hours), but I will say there are an awful lot of reservists who are air ambulance pilots.
