Your striking accuracy is nothing less than phenomenal! The fact that you do it with any size bopper is other-worldly. You have my deepest respect and admiration.

Holy cow, I never thought I'd learn so much in one little video, I want to make a keokuk knife blade too, though it will be a lot smaller, I dont have very big pieces of keokuk but I'll try!

There are businesses that supply plumbers. That's were I get mine. Look for one in your area. You might find some on Amazon . Thanks for watching!

Another great tutorial. You say you have more control when you hold the blade vrs. supporting it on your thigh, is that because you have better support or because you can control the angle of the strike better or something else?

That's gonna be a matter of preference but for me, I can see what I'm doing better. Also when the blade gets thinner I use finger pressure, trapping and pulling to influence the flaking. Thanks for watching!

HELP! MAKING A KNIFE FROM A BLANK! Somebody please tell me how to fix my blank PLEASE? I just started, did better than I expected however the blank slab I started with the flakes didn't go enough across, so I'm left with the flat unpolished slab in the center of my project! Did I articulate that well enough for someone to bail me out? Is this a fixable situation? Thank you Fam! 👉✌💚👈

Sounds like you need to re-bevel the edge and re flake farther. You will lose a little width but that's better than nothing

If you don't mind, can you tell me where you got your leather leg pad, or what it is? I haven't been able to find anything that soft or thick. Thank you for your videos! I made a couple boppers inspired by yours, and they are a good tool.

Iv never seen such a big billet😁big hammer stones i seen and have a big one but never seen that size with modern tools but that being said im still a noob knapper and got alot to learn 😊 Do you make all your tools?🙃🙃 im gonna Subscribe and stick around i can learn alot😊

@@EDBO23 your a very good knapper 😊 and bopper I always say billet for some reason 😂 you make pressure flakers to? I struggled without one then I randomly thought a metal tent peg could work but its thin and was hurting my hand so I went and found some dead elder wood to push the peg threw the soft pith so I have more to hold on to😊I'm in no position to buy tools atm so im scavenging 😋🙃🙃

What is the difference between Keokuk and Burlington?

The Keokuk I get comes from Oklahoma. The Burlington stuff comes more from Illinois. Both are great when heat treated. I don't know anything more specific, sorry.
