I love Castle Art colored pencils. I have their biggest set!

I have this book and I think it’s wonderful. So different to Johanna’s other books (which I also love) I also love the smaller pictures for when you don’t have the time (or energy) to colour a huge, detailed design. I also have the full set of 120 Castle Art pencils and I love them. Beautifully soft and some fantastic colours. ☺️

Good video! Congratulations on your great gift from Johanna! You certainly are one of my favorite pillars of coloring! btw- I have the 120 set of Castle Arts pencils and use them together with my Prismas and Crayolas!

I just got the coloring book. I can't wait to see the pictures you color. I have those pencils but not sure I like them.

That print is a design in the book. This print with the foil is not meant to be colored. I would frame that if I were you. ALSO, near the back of the book, is an error. On the left side of a page near the back, you will see a bus. Trees on top and a building. You will see a strange pole....it is actually a windmill missing 4 blades. (Johanna forgot to ink the blades.) (Right side to this page is a page full of stamps (or tickets). I have the full 120 set of CastleArt, and those curated sets do NOT contain any new colors, so I dont need them.

What a wonderful adventure you went on with this!!! It's beautiful, and how kind and generous of Johanna Basford to send you such a special, thoughtful gift, it makes everything all the more fun and feeling so good about it! I have this book (2 copies because my sis always takes one) and the full set of Castle Arts pencils, and I love them too. I use them and Black Widows more than I use Prismacolors, although I am warming up to Prismacolors slowly. I had a bad buying experience with them. But the Castle Arts were a cherished birthday gift, and will always be loved because of that. Any Johanna Basford book is a joy, and I'm starting to eye the Christmas ones, and any picture that can be done in Autumnal colors. :-)

If you go to her you tube channel you will see where she took us on a 5 day tour where you will color on five different pages with her. It was fun. I have 8 of the 9 tins from Castle Arts. I have used each one for the different scenes in different books. You are going to love Castle Arts products. I have their oil paint pens and love them. They dry quickly.

ahh i have her secret garden coloring book! i havent colored much in it since I can get a bit too critical of how everything looks, but all her books look so pretty and I definitely want to buy them all! i also have the castle colored pencils, I think I have the 72? count one but those ones look beautiful

I believe Prismacolor designed there box as one to be replaced. Or better yet Recycled! Many of the colorist have already, picked out the Amazon.com pencil storage bookcase for any new pencil purchases.

As an art journaler, sketchbooker, and adult coloring book colorer 🤣 colorist? That's better. I was absolutely gutted when you tore the custom washing tape and then ripped open the tissue paper OMG I swear I couldn't watch! Every single sticker, thank you card, tissue paper (that is cool in any way) literally anything like those are things I ever so carefully maintain while opening things from anyone. I stash them away in places to be used in my art journals later or right away if so inclined. I have always understood us artists as people with sugar, spice and a large dash of OCD sprinkled with plenty of perfectionism. So that caught me off guard! And I bet or went right into the trash bin as well. The wrapping, not the amazing stuff she sent you. I too started and am still starting (pretty new to coloring even though it started my art journey, it got lost over a short period of time when I began drawing and studying art) with Johanna Basford's books. World of Wonder was the first one I got. I do love horror themed stuff so I bought up several different adult coloring books in that genre. But boy, Johanna's books are so incredible, I literally can't keep myself from buying them even with all the frilly flowers and things I would never typically enjoy. Her books are absolutely next level. And I DO love all the frilly flowers and things she puts in her books. The way she lays out each page, all so diverse, allowing for any grade colorist 🤔 yeah, colorist, wait, coloring enthusiast?? Meh allowing for us all, at any level, to find such incredible peace and enjoyment and geez, art therapy in. I mean SO many different things can be used, laying down soft or Pan-Pastels first and then colored pencils (saving immense time and less wear down of our precious pencils. Drawing in our own designs to fill in wide open spaces or to add skies such as the Northern lights/Aurora. The paper is so perfect for even water based markers (test first so you don't ruin the other side of course). Inktense with a waterbrush, you name it. Her books are the best in my opinion and I only have 2 right now, I am really trying hard to avoid buying one more I don't have because I have SO many pages,in SO many books (you all have me beat I'm sure, but to me this is enough coloring for the rest of my life). I'm dying to buy that other book. And I probably will. This book is truly amazing, beautiful, and so full of a vast array of beautiful coloring pages that will take the fastest proper coloring expert a very long time to complete. Even the inside cover that folds over as a page saver is for coloring as is the entire cover. Johanna Basford is truly my favorite coloring book artist and she just makes coloring a dream for us kids who grew into larger kids who can't stop coloring on stuff.

I love Johanna Basford’s books. The only thing I don’t like is that the pictures are printed on both sides of the paper.

You haven't had a book since lost Ocean? because magical jungle is the first books which has a test page.. (and is more white).. you clearly have not been following her.. you would have known why and how she designed the book.. and could tell is more than you did in the video. I love your videos but not this one.. 😉
