Your hoophouse looks great! Are you like me and love to experiment with plants? Please keep us posted on how the cool season plants do in the heat. You may be starting a thing, because if they will grow in the heat of summer, I'm going to have to give it a go too here in newly zoned 6a. Orlaya is always short for me but I trialed this past spring in the hoophouse and it was amazing!

Yes I love to experiment! The hoophouse has been great for early season and last year I grew dahlias in there and had blooms later in the season, but I want to try to make use of the entire structure as much as possible

Most of the plants that you’re direct seeding are cool flowers. I thought you had to seed them in late winter or early spring. Would they grow and flower seeded in the summer? Please give us updates as the season goes on

I have seeded Dara and Ammi both mid summer before and they worked great. Will see how all the others do. It will be a great experiment!

Love watching your videos! When I plant out sunflower seedlings I treat them like tomato plants and bury them deep including most of the stem. They seem to do well. Be cautious planting a grass in your hoophouse. If you let it go to seed you will never get rid of it! You probably already know that. Thanks for all your great content!

I would have saved about 10 of those corms that were questionable just to experiment with next year and see how they grow. I’m always curious about stuff like that.

I thought poppies just fizzle in heat of summer. ???? See many videos of gardeners sowing poppies very early spring outside in the snow.

I just put my 50% black shade cloth on my very small high tunnel. I hope it will work

@@YanickaQuilt on my small high tunnel. The shade cloth makes about a 15° difference. It’s a game changer.

Did you pay for the products then they are yours to do whatever you want to do with it that policy is no good if they gave it for free i could understand

Yeah, that sounded weird to me…I can leave ranunculus in ground over winter to return every spring, so how would that apply? Same if you bought perennial plugs, you wouldn’t discard end of season.

That makes sense. I wonder if it’s because they multiply? I’m not sure. Just stating what the website says and what I’ve been told?

It’s because of patents and depends on the variety. What you pay for is the right to use that patented item as authorized, otherwise you owe royalties. Particularly if you buy from a wholesaler, the assumption is you’re doing so for commercial purposes and will get some financial gain from it and those are the terms for most patented corms, can only use them once.
