Graeme heads to a small river to try some fishing on the float. He uses sweetcorn and bread as bait and goes through how to float fish on rivers. Using the GoPro headmount, Graeme gives you a first person view of how to fish. He gives you float fishing tips, how to read the river and learn watercraft and he hooks into some epic fishing action!

You remind me so much of my father. It makes me both happy and sad. I lost him to cancer not long ago and since then I've felt all but useless. Untill I found your videos. You've inspired me to get back into fishing and reconnect with some good memories catching fish with my father. Thank you sir, and happy fishing.

Enjoying the channel as always, guys. I found the TAF because I've got hold of some beachcasting gear to take my sons out on the North Somerset coast, and I wanted to get the lowdown on sea fishing. I clicked on this video because I was born in South Wilts and was mad about trout fishing the chalk streams as a kid: Float fishing with bread and sweetcorn is the only fishing that I really know! Great to be reminded of days spent on bikes with a rod and a Tesco bag full of Mum's old bread. We were all terrified of The Pike, like some kinda Jaws character that might come out of the water and snatch us in at any time. Thanks for the memories. Rob

When I lived in Peterborough I fished the River Nene in town center. All the regulars stuck on a feeder and whacked it out to the middle. OK they get some bream catches to 4/5 lb. I only ever night fished there. Exact same spot each time. Float fished 15ft out 4 ft deep with a glow light on. 16ft rod,6lb line straight thru to size 10 hook with a big bit of flake. What they forget is theres LOADS of swans with families chucking in loafs and loafs of bread!! My largest bream, out from the town center is 14lb 6oz! And biggest catch is 420lb in a 12 hour night session (during a thunder storm that made me shit myself and a raging toothache lol) I did start fishing there as a 13 year old and now 61. We learn with age ---- SOMETIME! Keep at it mate.

@@christopherdevlin4602 Think in England my fave fishing is stalking chub/barble. But fave fish is Tench. A very small pit in Petrborough looks fishy. Peeps fisged it for years not catching owt. But I sussed it out. I raked 1 small hole in a corner hard against the reeds. 10' deep. ONLY way Ive caught them was a night float size 8 hook and big chunk of bread. Never took 1 other bait. But I hammered them. No bullshit I had 8 out one night between 6 1/2 lb anf 9lb 3oz., Next morning i had Mr dog walker kjnow it all telling me theres no fish in there mate. Almost shit himself. Now Im in Texas and go out for Redfish and big grouper.

If you were fishing where I think you were. It used to be brilliant for Grayling up to 2lb right up the top end. Had 80 one day with 10 over 2lb. My mate had a chub just below that bridge. Bottom end is famous for Barbel. Section below the mill is free fishing.

Itchen near Southampton, right by the airport, fished it for Grayling and trout last October on maggot. Amazing venue. I’d never normally pay that kind of money to fish but.....it was well worth it. You should take a total novice and over a few videos coach them into a semi decent angler. They could have a small budget and the first video could be you helping them buy what they need to get started.
