I spent some time on an Ozark River and saw some boats like this boat. Thought gees, how weird. In Florida you see Gehnees, a fiberglass canoe with a square stern, slightly wider in the middle. And in the Ozarks you see these boats. Pretty practical for the type of water!

This is a great river, I float this river every year and I have some of my best memories there I hope everyone can float this river.

Thanks for sharing this video. Great job on the "feeling" of the area and the history. Was it taken in the Fall or Winter? I had an opportunity to visit for a short time in late Summer of 2015. I wish I would have known about the mill then. I am planning a return visit so I can stay a little longer for research and visits. Your shot is near where my ancestors settled in 1840. William Henry Wood who claimed a stake in bottom land along the North Fork River. I am learning more about him, as I trace his life. Not much is written, but I have read about this mill in some of the documentation. Grandfather Henry was a farmer and did some blacksmith work also.

Some of the most beautiful and oldest exposed rock on the entire planet is right there in Missouri.
